  1. Yup I went to the local DIY shop and got some fairly decent half side sticky foam stuff which should do the trick nicely. I'm not actually repairing the boot lid..... I'm looking at getting the car fully wrapped. And as part of the wrap process they'll be taking all bumpers/lights/spoilers etc off. Hence the questions as I want to make sure it's possible for it to all be put back together again once they've got it apart. I know technically it's not really my responsibility for it but I'm VERY anal about things so need to know it can be done properly and if I can get the seals/bits to make sure everything is in place for them then I'll have peace of mind it's not been just bodged back together.
  2. Umm... Nothing is ever simple... The top spoiler seals are £8, yet the main spoiler apparently you can only get as part of a kit.. That means buying a whole new spoiler!!!! I think not! Also Prodrive advertise 19" alloys on their website for sale, yet they 'Do not stock them, nor plan on doing so'... So if you don't sell them why on earth are they on your website with a price and a order form???????? :brickwall: :brickwall: Having a really productive Monday so far
  3. That is brilliant exactly what I needed to know. Shall get onto Subaru today to order new seals. It's little details like that that would make a days job turn into a weeks job because you don't have the bits to hand to replace once you've took it apart/damaged them! Thanks very much Mark, owe you a
  4. Also while I'm thinking about it... Is the main spoiler bonded on or just bolted from factory??
  5. It's a standard factory fitted item I do believe... And it'll be going back on afterwards so won't have to worry about filling holes etc. But that was my main concern, is it bonded on from factory and not just bolted as I think it'll be a complete mare of a job to re-bond
  6. Right chaps and chapettes, got a few ideas flying around in my mind and some quite major changes on the horizon for my scooby but just wanted to see if anyone could help me with a couple of queries I've got.... Is it possible to remove the top rear spoiler on the hawkeye STI?? If so how easy/hard is it?? Also has anyone fitted a set of 19" wheels to a hawkeye?? If so what tyre size did you go for and any issues with rubbing or such like???? Any info would be greatly recieved Thanks Pez
  7. Well the scooby's in this months Impreza Idol competition, so if you've got a spare 5 minutes please click the link and drop a vote in my direction. Cheers lads n lasses Mucho luv http://www.totalcarmagazines.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/wp-photocontest/viewimg.php?img_id=72&post_id=1416&order=
  8. I've used Micheldever Tyres before on my classic and they seemed very good and got the car driving brilliantly. With the hawkeye again I drove up to powerstation. Bit of a trip but had a service done at the same time
  9. Was it a type-r??? See there's a blue one for sale on ebay at tho mo and running 467bhp from swindon!!!
  10. As most will know I sold my old black classic (which has now got bright pink wheels on it so keep a eye out around wiltshire for it!), and got myself a very loverly Hawkeye STI... Enjoy
  11. Sorry but was again at work for this
  12. On my hawkeye STI-Type UK I'm running 393bhp/470lbft and just clocked up 10,000 miles and, touch wood, reliability seems to be ok so far. Those are some pretty impressive results tho Iain... Fancy having a go at mine Lol
  13. Definately shop around for the insurance. And yeah mines £435 a year, so plus insurance you're looking at a grand a year to run... Unfortunately for me both fall at the same time so that's one expensive month for me Lol Dipsy - I did not know the 2.0 JDM twin scolls produce the same torque figures as the 2.5, that's interesting to know.
