  2. It's about time he got a car to modify or got a real hatch & mag's say's you better get your finger out Hawaii five O cause she doesn't do tents, & no even trouser tents Iv'e still got ma pressie frae the scooby ball Any good pubs in Pitlochry Dave me & mag's are off up for a weekend away 4th & 5th of Feb if you fancy a wee shindig drop me a pm
  3. Oh well looks like ole Hawaii five O's taking us on a one way trip to leave us stranded in Thurso wi nae go faster juice at the OK coral i'll just need to stock up on some diet coke and subaru viagra to get back doon the road Or just had a thought I could always take the FORD it doesn't rattle your fillings out, it's more economical than the scoob, runs on anything and just as fast MMmmmmmm just a thought
  4. About time ya cheapskate you can afford it wi all the overtime you've been crammin in at G4 & get that car back on the road this year too
  5. Get it fixed up Norry, for the sake of a few hundred quid, 103,000 mls is nothing you know the history of the car having owned it for 7 yrs & it probabaly still drives as good as the day it rolled out of the garage, I bought a 98 turbo 2000 new many moons ago & still maintain it was the best scoob i've ever driven. It won't depreciate any more & if you keep it you will still have it to break if you change you mind in a couple of years. And white is the in colour bobby
  6. Welcome miss newby do u have a subaru
  7. Kenny I was with A Plan with all mod's declared for the GB last year, they put it up from £500 > £600 this year which wasn't too bad considering the policy would replace like for like on the mod's front in the event of an accident, Admiral quoted me £450 with all mod's declared but the catch is Admiral will not replace mod's like for like they will return the car to standard when repairing, it's worth while reading the small print & asking the questions saving £150 might cost you thousand's in the long run. Doesn't matter any more as the GB is gone Admiral took £223 for the RS & £260 for the RA on a multicar Result!!!!! & cheap road tax
  8. I'll agree with that I think the ole government couldn't try any harder to put us all off the road, scooby ownership is definitely not getting any cheaper
  9. Just an R1 chris lol boy's and their toys, Dave will be chasing your arse on his Ducatti soon lol now there's a worrying thought Dave with his big red thing chasing your arse
  10. Dave Dave Dave so many questions, Ins £223, Tax £235, Service £120 less than half the price of the GB before turning a wheel, RA for the highland run, be wearing a blue jumper wi white polka dots now piss aff & stop hogging Barry's post ya donkey
  11. Looking good Alistair, took advantage of the weather today as well think a wee details required though car surface is like sandpaper with tar & salt etc
  12. Feck off cant beat the best of both worlds Paul, it was time for the GB to go while it was still worth something & the £1200 to put it on the road to drive 5,000 miles every year was just starting to take the piss
  13. It's looking the absolute dogs bollocks Barry really can't wait to see it in the flesh, once you've driven a really good classic nothing else compares I think anything else you drive you always compare it back to your classic, mind & give me a bell when your'e coming up to Dunc's
  14. Good to see you back on the road mate, hopefully catch up at some of the meets
  15. sell the scoob & your toy audi & the tricycles & buy a real one then ya skinflint
  16. About time you splashed out on some real brakes like Kevin's K-sports or the ones off the RS now your talking it's a :brickwall:job every time you touch them
  17. I'll sell you a roof scoop with an RA attached better off shaving your eyebrows lol
  18. Well looks like I'll have to give the bodywork of the RA some TLC again this year after the severe winter weather, all fluids, timing belt & radiator hoses are due to be replaced & I might source some bigger brakes to finish it off. The RS only took 4 hours to take it from standard to complete all planned MOD's taking it to 350 bhp @ 370 lb/ft of torque, bluefin superchip & remap, rally mud flaps & decals, samco air intake hose changed, new rear light lenses & LED bulbs fitted, seat covers, bee sting ariel, a total of £615 quid spent, it took me £4,000 & many hours toil to get the GB to this stage.
  19. Filled up the cars day before the vat increase Van took £86 but will get around 750 miles from that RA £56 for v-power Thank **** I got rid of the GB £435 for road Tax, £500 for Ins, £125 for an oil service & £56 for a tank of V-power before you turn a wheel the government is making Subaru ownership a very expensive hobby
  20. Sorry to hear about the health issues guy's it certainly put's things into perspective when you get news like that, we'll be keeping everything crossed for you and hope to see you around at some of the motorsport events in 2011, chin up Grant we hope you get better news soon mate. bobby & mags
  21. Many congrats Craig hope your all well mate
  22. Another top job Barry, I hope you'll be keeping this one for a few years so I can have a good drool every time I see it, mind & give us a bell if your up this way & pop in for a brew, you can get a wee swatch at my FWD toy lol
  23. You got the car back from dunc the Fraser, saw the gauges getting fitted when mines was in getting ripped apart bobby
  24. Not cancelling yet & still planning to attend but unless this alleged thaw kicks in over the next couple of days we might struggle to get through, only managed to dig the van out & get it running today for the first time since the snow appeared, the weather wont stop the scoob but the volume of traffic might. :kerstsmiley:
  25. Yep £2500 + vat is what you are looking at to get you off, first mistake he will tell you was accepting the citation, i'll pm you a slightly cheaper lawyer but it's all about the prosecution crossing the T's & dotting the I's, they don't like taking motoring offences to trial because the police or court muck up the paperwork ar some point & you get off on a technicality, but it will cost. My son got representation by the guy I will pm you, speeding at 100 mph within first ttwo years of driving, he got two month ban & £400 fine no points & no resit result, lawyers fee £1000
