I may be wrong but does this recall upgrade map not have to be done by a main dealership to keep the warranty valid, there are pleanty of people out there capable of re-mapping but as there has been issues with the new STI's pistons going it might be wise to stick with the dealership and your three year warranty just to be on the safe side.
don't bother with the group buy just contact bren@apex performance and ask for the scoobynet price & he will see you OK

A big thankyou to Mark & the lads the car is top notch & i'm well chuffed, don't want to take it out the garage it's that good, think i'll take the RA to Alford & keep the GB clean lol
Had a similar problem on one of my classics & it was the MAF sensor, they don't seem to like some induction kits & the wire gets choked up, I changed the MAF & went back to a panel filter & never had a problem after that.
Good footage Mac and great roads
Need to make a few adjustments to the coilovers for the next one & get the front brakes changed, the handling of the car has improved greatly since fitting them but it doesn't sound nice when you hit some of these unexpected pot holes there was a few sweary words coming from my car as well.
Superb Peter really enjoying reading up & following your project, thats a fine bit of fabrication work there top marks to the guy's
Will the side exit through the bumper require some form of shielding to protect the bumper or do they reckon it'll be OK
bobby
Must say that I was impressed with the performance of the new red WRX that was on the lanarkshire run last night, not too taken with the looks but Georges does look the biz in white with the tweaks & Ken bloc's is awsome
Well said that man (Classic ) sweary word
I must admit I'm really enjoying the RA & the engine won't be getting touched the car is so well sorted in it's standard form even though it doesn't have the raw pulling power of the GB it's a more fun car to drive.
Iv'e always had a scoob since 1995 John & I got rid of my STI & went for an Audi TT 3.2 tiptronic launch control with all the bells & whistles & I lasted ten months before I had to get another scooby fix
They're not cheap to own or run John thats for sure but if you were'nt spending your money on the car which you enjoy I can assure you that you wouldn't be watching it accumulate in your bank account either
