  1. They look pretty good those! I could be interested in a group buy too.
  2. I put a deposit down on one and then did a HPI check when I got home, they said they had already done this but I wanted to make sure. My check identified that finance was still owed (which they denied) so I walked away. They had some nice looking cars in though and the salesman was very helpful.
  3. A guy over on ScoobyNet's done it to his 05 WRX. This is his thread... http://bbs.scoobynet.com/members-gallery-5/819283-f6-squared-prodrive-subie.html
  4. Yeah, I like that pic, it does look lower for some reason?!? Part exed the car today at a Subaru garage in Southampton against a silver Hawk STI. It's been a long day, we've covered about 500 miles. It was a good WRX that, it did me proud.
  5. I've changed the pic on my Photobucket account and it's updated the pic above automatically which is strange as they are named differently! But the one above was taken today and it looks to be sat a lot lower than when on my drive. Bloody typical, the day before I part-ex it I get a picture that I think makes it look cracking!
  6. As far as the Blobeye goes I think they didn't paint the WRX skirts until 2004, they also changed the shape of the bootlock from a circle to rectangle then too.
  7. I've seen this going down Minsthorpe Lane a few times now. Looks nice!
  8. Hello. Nice car, i'm after one like that at the moment.
  9. I'm not keen on a silver/blue combo but I think silver and grey can look really classy. Beware though, when you change your wheels your car will look like it's on stilts!
  10. I've the gunmetal ones on my black WRX. I bought mine second hand and it looks like one was/is now slightly buckled. They've balanced it out well though so it's not noticeable I'd not get the silver ones.
  11. Wrong fitment. Whatever you get, go grey and buy new
  12. I'd like a Hawk STI (any colour). I think that's the best design that Subaru came out with. I had agreed to one but after a bit of digging it appeared to to have been ragged and had finance issues. I'm now back on the look out! I'm not actually keen on the colour of the WR1, the interior's nice though.
  13. You did well getting that spoiler! If I was going down that route again i'd try and source an original. De-tango is such a subtle, cheap and smart mod. Every Blob needs it I didn't have the balls to do it myself mind so got my local specialist to give it a go. If I remember correctly he charged me £40.
  14. If it's hard work trying to give a company the best part of £1000, then it's only natural to worry about how hard it would be trying to make a claim. It's not a dig, you have loads of people singing your praise, I probably would too if I would have been able to get through to you or would have had a call back Maybe i'll join SIDC and try you again next year. You would have to be able to beat A-Plan though as their quotes and customer service so far have been the best i've experienced.
  15. Looks better that mate. Where did you end up getting the spoiler done? I'd do three more things, de-tango, add flaps and a front splitter and then stick at that. That's what I did with mine, for less than £200 it really beefed the car up.
  16. This is the only place I can think of http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=203&products_id=1404
  17. I use A-Plan, the Thatcham branch. I've always had trouble getting a call back from (or through to) Gary at Keith Michaels, this makes me worry how hard it would be to get through if I needed to make a claim. A-Plan always answer quickly and seem a decent bunch of guys too.
  18. It would be good to get a bunch of Imprezas to a drag strip somewhere and compare the official times and spec. It would be good to look at standard and modified versions and also different year models just to see what they can do.
  19. What's the verdict then? If i'd have seen this thread earlier I may have sent you a pm about mine!
  20. If I was in the market again then i'd buy from HTAutos. Do a search on Scoobynet for their thread on their spoilers from their new mould. They look far better quality spoilers.
  21. They always said it was being used so they didn't have time despite them saying on the phone they would do it and also despite it being empty for the duration of both my visits.
  22. I've a modded 2004 black Blob WRX (50k) with STI spoiler, 18's, K-Sport 8 pots and Revolution back box (plus one or two other bits). I'm thinking about selling, to get a Hawk STI. I'd be looking for £6500 for mine, so I doubt you would get a decent STI for that kind of cash. If you fancy a WRX though, then feel free to get in touch
  23. I would avoid Scooby Clinic for this. I wanted Scoobyworld to fit mine but ended up also being told they wouldn't so I opted to pay more to buy it from Scooby Clinic. Including vat they wanted something like £550 fitted, but offered a 'free power run' so I thought i'd spend the extra and travel the hour and half that it would take each way to get there. When I got there they took my car and I sat in the cabin with a guy who was back for a clutch to be fixed that they had fit, he was back from London and not overly impressed. I asked about the power run and despite being told they would do it on the phone, they changed their mind once I was there. I was there quite a few hours but left with it installed. When I got home I could see daylight inbetween the two pieces, and when I washed my car the boot flooded. I phoned them straight back and booked it back in for a few days later. I never got an apology, I wasted another day going back and once again despite them saying I could get the power run, they couldn't fit me in! This time in the cabin was a guy from the Isle of Man, he had been phoned to say his car was ready, he travelled all the way there to collect it to find it wasn't ready at all! I experienced crap service and poor quality workmanship, so did the other guys I met in the cabin. I'm not saying they are always like that but i'm certainly not off back there!
  24. Mine's my daily drive. I work quite close to home though so I only did around 7.5k last year.
