  1. Did you knock them down at all? Looks nice that, especially on the P1 alloys.
  2. I've K-Sport 8 Pots on the front of mine, with Ferodo DS2500's in. Like mentioned above, I got them on a group buy on SN. I've had them probably two years now and they are huge improvement over the originals. The only problem i've had is the bolts have rusted and the paint on the lettering has started coming off, performance wise they have been good.
  3. I swear that used to work on my old VTR! No joy on the WRX though and i'm not posting a picture to show I tried! I had a thought on the way home, if it's radio related then surely removing the fuse to the radio would stop the power to the aerial and show if it was that or not? Well, either way I tried it and it didn't work.
  4. Right then. New battery fitted (getting that bloody battery clamp back on the back was a right pain in the ass!). Starts fine. Remote locking's no better though. I took it for a spin tonight and tried the locks in two different locations away from overhead cables, transmitters etc and it was still ****e. The saga continues...
  5. Looks like this might be the problem. This morning I tried to turn the engine over and it wouldn't, then the alarm set off. I've not been in the car for about four days. Any suggestions for a good battery?
  6. My car (2004 WRX) has never had a great range on the remote locking, but over the last year or so it has got worse and worse. I've replaced the batteries in both keys and it's made no difference. I have to hold the key up to the window and press (and hold) the button maybe two or three times before it unlocks, yesterday the heat seemed to make it even worse! I know it's not the batteries, i'm assuming it's not the keys as they will eventually unlock, i've cleaned the sensor in the window so i'm guessing it must be something else in the car. Has anyone else had any problems with theirs? How far away does yours unlock? Has anyone got any suggestions for a fix? Cheers
  7. I would have gone with Scoobyworld but they wouldn't fit it when I phoned up. I got mine from Scoobyclinic but regret doing that now.
  8. I've had an expensive four weeks with mine too mate, 6 year service, mot, road tax and insurance, £1300 and no modifications in sight! It drives better now though.
  9. Are all rear windows the same? Have you a mate with an Impreza without the spoiler that he could take the shape from?
  10. If I was buying another spoiler i'd get in touch with HT-Autos, see the below SN thread. http://bbs.scoobynet.com/members-gallery-5...iler-mould.html They always seem to get good feedback over there. Decided to keep the WRX now then? Weren't you after an STI?
  11. The grey Hawk STI is my favourite scoob, it's the only one i'd consider swapping mine for.
  12. Swap the scoop and wheels and that would be nice mate!
  13. I agree, the STi has a few styling issues for me too, I'm not keen on the blue seats (in anything other than a blue car), still not sure on gold wheels and think the the scoop is far too big! I've warmed to the spoiler though. I paid over the odds for a spoiler at Scoobyclinic so I could get a 'free power run'. Despite saying they would do it when I got there, when I arrived they said the dyno was busy (no car on it while I was there though), they also said the same when I went back (3hr round trip) to get the spoiler fitted properly as it leaked, so i've not had chance to see what performance mine has. It felt quick the other day though
  14. But how much would that cost? £4k ish on top of the price to change??? It comes down to what power the OP is after and what his budget is. If it's 300hp ish i'd stick with the WRX, if more like 400hp then I agree the STI would make more sense. Remember though that the book figures for a PPP'd WRX state under 5 seconds to 62, that's more than enough for me!
  15. How much power do you want? If it's no more than say 300hp then i'd re-consider your options. I'd be comparing the cost to change against the cost to upgrade. I'd have thought you could have got your WRX to 265hp for well under £1k when considering what the PPP consists of. Add some K-Sports brakes for around £700 on a SN group buy. The car could be lowered with stronger ARBs for probably under £1k too. Remember that all these parts would be new too, those on the STI could be close to needing replacing which would add more cost to the swap. If you are looking for more power then changing would probably make sense, if you're happy around the 300hp mark i'd stick and upgrade.
  16. Take off the SUBARU but leave the rest on. That's what i've done on my black WRX.
  17. Have a look on Revolution's site. I've a cat back system on my 2004 WRX. It's larger and slightly louder than the Prodrive one. I love it
