Does anyone know of any good driving courses specialising in high performance vehicles or even better imprezas? I'm hopefully going to be buying a blob sti soon and would really like to get the most out of it safely. I haven't had much experience with a car with this sort of power so thought it might be a good idea. I'm Norwich based so the nearer the better. cheers

Hi all Is 6K a realistic budget to get a blob eye sti with no or minimal mods or am I kidding myself? I know I would need to find a 2003 one. Obviously I want one that has been looked after with full history but that goes without saying really. I prefer the look of the blob eye to the bug eye but is there much difference other than looks between the two sti's? Thanks James

Matty No I havent. Im not in a great rush at the moment, Id love to view some guys who have them on here but there doesn't seem to be much of a presence of owners in the Norfolk region. I just had an insurance quote from elephant who i have found to be the cheapest in the past and they came back with £1250 for an 03 sti! Im 25 with 3 years ncb and no claims or points, ouch! James

Hi Guys and Girls I'm considering buying a blob eye or 03 bug eye sti. I will have the money to buy the car but keep getting put off by peoples horror stories on running costs. I am also considering an 03 type r. I will be using the car on a daily basis but only do around 9k a year mileage. Im wondering if there is anyone out there that can give me some advice on running costs of an impreza and would an impreza be a lot more to keep on the road than a ctr. Also what the differences performance wise are between the two as I have only driven a Type R out of the two? Cheers James

Hi guys Im new to this forum. I am 25 next year so will finally be getting an 03 imprza sti, fingers crossed, and I cant wait!!! Im really looking forward to attending the trax event next month to see the SIDC stand . Ive not had the opportunity to experience much of the impreza on the road and no time at all in one on a track. I was wondering if any of you guys who is attending Trax would be kind enough to let me be a passenger and show me what an impreza is capable of on the track, before I take the plunge and buy one?
