Hi guys For the new boxer engine, it's only the 2.0 lt engine who is available in europe, last wednesday i had a during at subaru switzerland (i am mechanic in subaru dealer) and tehy say that the 2.5 lt is not available in european market and they don't say anything for a turbo model. The major difference is that they are a chain that replace the cambelt, the avcs is for intake and exhaust, the engine have a long stroke, it's euro 5 compatible, there is no hydraulics valve lifters, there rockers instead, smaller cylinders head, new piston (smaller), new pistons rings, new conrods. In Switzerland they are a lot of subaru specially turbo or sti, the police and the technical inspection are very strict, every part we change on the car need to have a homologuation and need a new inspection, if all is ok they note the modification on the circulation licence of the car (they mark the type of the wheels, the dimension, the type and the high of the suspension, for example), for the noise if i remember we can't pass the limit of 85 or 90 db. If you are control by the police and if they have a doubt about the parts on your car they can order you to present at the technical inspection immediatly, unfortunately we can change a lot of parts on our car. For the power we are limited of an adjonction of 20%.

Hello everybody I'm new in this forum, i live in switzerland, i'm a big fan of subaru, i owned a subaru impreza sti hawk eye from new and i'm very happy with this car, i post some picture of the STI,they are some modifications: Prodrive GT1 wheels, supersprint sport cat and backboxe, turbo pressure gauge and front lip spoiler, my english is not very good so excuse me if they are some faults.
