About subaruam

  1. Thanks for the info, I'll post a question in the members section and see if a number turns up from one of the other members with the direct number. In the mean-time, I'll google Keith Michaels and see what comes back from that. Thanks again.
  2. Hey all! Second post on the forum for a relatively new member. I'm new to the modification game and am getting some performance upgrades for my 07 STI. All the details of the upgrade are here: Garrett GT3071R turbo Kakumei megaflow 3" sports cat downpipe Japspeed cat back 2 piece exhaust 3" bore with 4.5" tailpipe Graham Goode GGS1387 225 litre/hour fuel pump NGK uprated spark plugs Japspeed Impreza New Age Cold Air Induction Kit Top fuelling Denso 720cc injectors Fuel pressure regulator Dump valve Apart from the fact that I am like a kid at Christmas waiting for it all to get fitted, I called my insurance company to get a quote and they said they wouldn't insure me, despite the fact that I'm over 30 with full no claims! I'm looking for normal insurance mostly but have a track day coming up in November at Oulton Park with SIDC - can't wait! - and need some track day insurance for that. Can anybody recommend any specialist insurance brokers for me please? Thanks in advance all! Andy
  3. Thanks Ace, much appreciated. Even looking at the figures for PPP I think there could be better value from going independant... You've definitely given me something to think about there. I might get a warranty for a year and replace the exhaust as a starting point but I am definitely siding towards getting rid of the warranty and getting something independant done at some point.
  4. Hi All, I have recently bought a WRX STI Type UK that is 3 years old this month. I want to get some mods done on the car to increase the torque but I also want to extend the warranty... This either means I need to get the PPP, which won't affect the warranty but that limits what can be done to the car or I go to an independant supplier and don't get the extended warranty but really get to go a bit crazier with the car. Does anybody know an independant company that will extend a warranty on a car with non-manufaturer mods or would I be better off looking for flying pigs and pink elephants?! Thanks, Andy
