hi m8 sounds like ur maf. ma scoob would drive fine off boost then when i gave it full throttle it would miss fire then go but every time i let off and put the foot down it missed, so i swapped mafs with ma girlfriends and it ran fine.

Just to let you guys know ma parents got me some clothing for xmas from a f noble and asked if i could post up on the form that another company has got the wrights to make subaru clothing. will post pics soon of the clothing.

if you posted askin about verve i would have told yo how bad they r 2 and a half years at the workshop. they r that bad we used flying coulors instead of getting uor own guys to do it.

a vote for the wr1 had 1 and sold it to my brother and mis it everytime i see it, cheap insurance, very comfy and looks stunning.

defo a wind noise wouldn`t worry about it could you years to find it when i worked at verve it was a comon fault with the wiper arms, my scoob does it to at very high speed i had a whistle noise goes away when the wipers are on.

damn need to wait till i get a job and have the extra funds

The best sugestion is to organise a meet and try and get as many different models together that way you can compare the models and the differences. Probably know this but there was 500 wr1`s over in europe but they where named petter solberg editions

i have all the tools use to be a mechanic m8 don`t mind doin it since your givin me a deal on the brakes all i need you to do is pump the brake pedal to bleed them.

if you want i will give you a hand wee can use the wr1 as a gide

caus am not able to drive i got the girlfriend to drive the scooby an found that when driving like miss daisy she got 16mph and driving it like she stole it got 9.4 mpg which means i get a range of 85 mile when am hammering it is this normal or do i have a hole in the tank.

had a few high power fwd cars and they can`t go round corners as quick, can`t pull away from standing start as quick and can`t drift but my old impreza can do it all and more

there is 2 pins go across the back of the caliper with R clips on them, use pliers and take out the R clip and gently chap through the pins. slacken the bleed nipple and push back the pad 1 side at a time against the caliper and the pad should giggle out, best to do 1 pad at a time. hope this helps

another pad to try is performance friction put them on ma brothers wr1 and he swears by them said the brembo`s started to fade when heavy braking but the new pads have never let him down.

When i bought my girlfriends scooby the guy said it had a tracker and gave me all the paper work for it. it`s £135 a year to activate it, when i insured the car it told them it had a tracker but wasn`t active they told me to contact them when it is active and i would have to pay an aditional charge of £150 but could not tell me why

I was hoping someone would say its the heads caus all i need is the block the rest of the original engine is fine. thanks for comments i think i will keep looking.

watever you do don`t get a traker i thought it would bring the insurance down but instead it shot up 150 quid

Not so good put another gearbox in it now it has develped some problems it is notchy at low speed sometimes jamming, reverse light not working, steering is goin rock hard, and engine check light came and wouldn`t go over 4500 rpm turns out to be the coolant temp sensor. it the joys of a car that is 16 years old. at least your havin a bit of luck with yours must feel like your driving a rocket with a rocket up its a*** compared to standard

fount the fault it was the coolant temp sensor swaped it over with the girlfriends as hers is still off the road and worked perfect so thanks again to cathy for the help
