  1. welcome to the form bud u defo want a turbo model a little bit more to insure and a wee bit more petrol but its worth it and to b honest the turbos r very reliable i bought a 2000 wrx wagon 8 months ago with high 114000 miles on the clock and the only real problem was a shock absorber the rest has been modifications.

  6. put shocker back into place and rest shocker on the suspension arms. the hard part is to get the 3 bolts on the top mount thru the holes when u get them thru put on the 12mm nuts on just a tad to give u play to get the shocker bolts on wrestle with the shocker to get bottom bolt hole lined up and put bolt thru and put the nut on finger tight this a hard and dangerous part i used an axle stand under the brake drum part of the disc and lowered the jack and the hub will push in at the top and the top hole will line up nicely jack car back up and tighten bolts and tighten top mount bolts refit brake pipe, use wire brush and clean the pipe as its shaped to fit the bracket on the shocker, but the pipe in the bracket and push in clip refit wheel job done
  7. to remove spring there is a 19mm nut on the top mount that is tricky to get to i used a 19mm socket on the nut then used a 6mm allen key to through the centre of it and used stillsons to grip the nut and slacken it do not remove nut if the springs r not lowering springs u will need spring clamps. i have lowering springs so all i needed to stand shocker on its end push down on top mount and remove nut put spring on new shocker and put shocker on it end push down on top mount and put on nut then put on its side and tighten nut there is an arrow and outer on top mount this should point away from car in direction of the bolt holes at bottom of shocker shocker is now ready to fit
  8. a wee how to guide not the best way but got the job done in 1hr 30 mins locate and slacken the top 3 12mm nuts on top of shocker juck up car and remove wheel remove clip for brake pipe i use a screw driver and chap it from underneath with a hammer remove 19mm nuts and bolts that secures shocker to hub clean threads and lube before atemting to slacken. i had trouble romoving bolts so i just wound them off with the ratchet romove 3 top nuts and shocker will drop down a tad take shocker and spring out
