  1. Cheers, I'll start looking into this and boring my wife about it!
  2. What is the diameter of the whitelines vs standard and do you change all the bushed too?
  3. What a beast! Hopefully see it in the flesh on Sat
  4. Yep that's what I was thinking, my wife might might not appreciate the gains though, she thinks PPP was the end! (will have to use the improved mpg blag). I think the PPP hits max of 1bar, not sure if the 2.5 can hit much more with the standard turbo. I'm sure Andy F could improve the curves though.
  5. Nice, I was thinking of a wee trip to Meerkat for either just mid sections or Sportscat too. I have Prodrive springs but nothing else in the handling dept, but I need to get it to HyperTech to get set up properly.
  6. If it is true it will be good to see. Not near as good as seeing Colin was though.
  7. Wagon - ace choice. On my 2nd PPP Wagon, had the 2.5 PPP since last August. Well torquey. Miss the sound-track of the 2.0PPP though, so I'm teasing a trip to Meerkat soon (then you think might aswell go to see AndyF then................................)
  8. Nice results. What exhaust etc you running? I've currently got my wagon with PPP, but might go down the Andy F route to enhance it a bit
  9. 50 / 50 for me. Sometimes attitude and customer service is not bad but other times a bit pants. Can be a bit funny if you take in a scoob for warranty work if it wasn't sold by them. Wouldn't be my 1st choice, but Colin does know a lot about scoobs
  10. Standard head units are Kenwood and they are shocking. I need to upgrade my speakers, but even changing the head unit made a huge difference even with the pish speakers.
  11. I've got the Prodrive springs on my Hawkeye WRX fitted and set up (allegedly to Prodrive settings) at S&S, came as part of the deal. Still going to take it to Hypertech to get set up properly though

  13. Nope you are right! This was the reason I changed my STi for a Wagon 2yrs ago as every thime I went out it was like attack of the nobbers! A bit annoying especially with a liitle one in the car. There's a time, a place and a situation for giving it a wee poke. Not on busy roads etc! I think some of the younger generation think they are invincable, but it's only takes a second for things to get very messy.
  14. 2.3 bar sounds well scary! Makes the PPP 1.05 look even more measly.
  15. I've found out that the MY07 WRX PPP peaks at about 1.00 - 1.05 bar, not sure about the non PPP though. (That's only about 14.6 - 15.3psi) Quite measly eh! Time for Mr Forest? I'm gonna stick my digital boost gauge on next week to see (mines is PPP). I'm sure my MY05 PPP went to 1.2+bar, but the 2.5 will use more air from a similar size turbo. cheers
  16. Does anyone know what the boost is on a standard MY07 WRX 2.5 vs. MY07 WRX PPP
  17. So are mine! Still to put the samller signature vinyl one on somewhere but can't decide, provisionally on the tailgate just about the Subaru (MY07 Wagon). Either that or on the back window in the centre at the top.
  18. Yep, that was me. It's amazing how you don't notice how dark it has become when you're doning something under a car, great fun!
  19. I've only fitted the splash guards to my MY07 Wagon so far (I was parked next to you at the McRae service in the Agricultural centre), wasn't sure about flaps on the wagon (flaps in the wagon are ok though). On my MY05 wagon I had flaps but just the cheapo Subaru black ones they looked OK (had to adapt them to fit the way I wanted though), I wasn't sure how the WRC type would suit a wagon. I might fit some black mini flaps to bridge the gap between my splash guards and the bodywork to stop stones. Only slight downside on the newer wagons is styling as most comapnies only cater for the 4door (supply & demand). Some things can be adapted though. Cheers
  20. Sounds like it was ace! I wish I had been better prepped to go this year. I'll make sure I am for next year though. Got any snaps
  21. Better than expected, looks quite good in the silver too. A good looking car in it's own right, but not an Impreza as we would know it.
  22. Great vid and cool tune, I've got that on a Tom Wilson CD somewhere.
  23. Aye, but who's gonna keep me warm
  24. Absolutely superb! Glad I waited and watched it at home though, brought me and my wife to tears. Heard "cars" during the week on the radio and it gave me a lump too, that song will always remind me of Sunday :-(
  25. Tenting it sounds ace! Can't see me getting my wife into a tent though, said she would never sleep in a tent! Bummer!
