  1. All Scoob prices are looking very low the noo! Doesn't help when some dealers give them away though (you know who you are!)
  2. Aye, heard it on Beat106 this morning on the way to Ayr, was well chuffed! Never seen any scoobs on the way there or back though, must all be getting cleaned for tomorrow.
  3. Today would have been Colin McRae's 40th Birthday, so I'm gonna have a wee beer to the best "flat out" guy there ever was in the forests RIP Big Felly!
  4. Know exactly how you feel. Quite a few years ago I had a claim in 1st scoob. I had full prtected no claims. Renewal for the following year went up 4 times! They could have just sent me a letter saying GTF, don't want your business anymore. When I called them and reminded them I had full protected no claims and to ask WTF, I was told that my no claim disc was intact and still protected? When I siad how come it has went up so much I was told that after a claim you go through the system as a higher risk so the overall premium is higher. What's the point of protected no claims, well it would be even higher sir! Not being from the lovely insurance business I always thought a car insurance for say a scoob (certain age etc etc) would be say £1000 and if you had 60% no claims it would be £400 etc. Far too simple and not as easy to rip us off! Mind you insaying that Admiral have been really competitive for me the last few years.
  5. I'm planning on making the return to Fife on the Sunday too. I have Monday off to re-charge, but the other half doesny (she can zzzzz on the way home though)
  6. Looking really good, probably one of the best if not the best colour for the Hawk Sti
  7. Saw it at the recent SIDC track day and thought it looked well smart, very original too!
  8. Neither did I, but it still impressed me what a long shechty motorway journey can achieve.
  9. So was I, I didn't think it was possible! Mind you most of it was motorway. I did tell the other half the Meercat centre would make it better on petrol to passify her "what's the point" question, this looks good. Now...........wonder if she'll fall for a bigger turbo and remap with the same BS
  10. Hey auld yin, you'll be sitting wi yer pipe and baffies in a couple of weeks Booger
  11. 1/2 tints look fine, especially on a wagon. I had 1/2 tints on my STi and I am planning to put them on my wagon too, just not got around to finding someone in Fife yet. I'm sure the GB270 wagon has 1/2 tints and it looks sweet
  12. Somehow just managed 32.2mpg in my MY07 WRX PPP Wagon. Noticed it yesterday coming back from Glasgow (after a wee visit to Willy @ Meercat for centre section ) the odo was heading towards 300miles and I still had just under a 1/4 tank left. I used to always get about 220ish per tank with average of about 22mpg but since having a longer journey in the mornings it went up to about 25 / 26 (on the odd occassion), but this was like Xmas! Who needs a diesel. I was going to challenge myself to get 300miles to a tank but it happened! This was still with some spirited but admittedly also some pussy driving. On the down side though, the ferkin NUL nozzle fell out the pump today when I was filling up with V-Power and twatted my car - BRAW! Who fixes dents!
  13. You'll no need ti worry though as they were selling like hotcakes and you had sold all yer allocation for soooo many months ahead anyway
  14. I was just wondering that myself, I noticed the other day on the Subaru UK website the price had increased (don't know if the spec has changed)
  15. Yep, the other night I watched a bit of the tribute program I recorded last year and it is still brings a lump to my throat. Still think of that day whenever I hear SnowPatrol - Chasing Cars and then there's Colin's Mk2 sitting at the start of the McRae stages last year, so sad.
  16. Canny wait to order mine, my paypal account is locked! Canny order stickers or shirts. Been trying to fix it for weeks now, bloody paypal thing is gettin nippy.
  17. Yep this really gets on ma titties, especially when you consider a higher performance car emitting something like 385g/CO2 and costs over £100k doesn't pay much more than our scoobs (most of which are now worth well under £20k). You've also got all the old heaps of kak that stink with plumes coming out and they pay a loy less, really fair! But that's just the shechty labour gov for you, sticking it right up the crinkley of the workers who put them there in the 1st place. Shower of bum bandits the lot of them! If it was about the evironment and not cash then no cars over a certian CO2 would be allowed to be sold in the UK.
  18. Yep, I know that's what I'll end up doing as it will always annoy me and won't ever look right, no matter how good I get the repair
  19. I've had 6 scoobs and numerous cars before and never kerbed a wheel. Well guess what I done yesterday as I pulled up outside my work! SCRAPE! i was scared to look, it's taken the paint off about 1/4 of the edge and taken a small (6mm sq) chunck of rubber. I was only doing about 5mph but it was the old grey razor edge kerbs. The alloy isn't damaged that much mainly paint, I'm gonna try a manual repair, worst case I'll need to buy another wheel. Might be worth getting the rubber checked though (as we all know how dangerous a dodgy rubber can be ) There were reasons why I had to pull up outside rather than park, but I'm more pi**ed at myself for being such a dumbass. Well at least it can be fixed / replaced, not the end of the world.
  20. shecht! Just put on the telly and missed it, luckily it seems like it wasn't worth watching anyway. Had a day test drive in one last week and was pretty impressed. Got offered quite a good deal, but only had my current scoob since Aug 07 so not changing yet.
  21. Na tweed jacket is on order and you've got me anorak fir yer train spotting!
  22. Yep have to agree, it was walnut sack cold! Seemed to get colder as the day went on. Good day though, the 6r4's sound amazing, more of them this year too.
  23. yep noticed this on most of my scoobs. Check 1 high Check 2 low Check 3 just fine Just a tad annoying! I can mind my 306 S16 had and oil level guage (used the oil pressure guage) when you turned the ignition on, was handy but being a ****ebag I still used dipstick occassionally!
  24. Aye and I'm gonna set up an underpants stall for those coming off!
