  1. Initial interest noted Knocklink..............GBL Dawes Device......IanJ That leaves the Lambda link and the Greddy Turbo Timer Turbo Timer is an auto version which will calculate the countdown according to driving style. Highest ever time recorded was 18 min 30 secs after Colin Greer drove the car back from Kames. It also has a 1/4 timer function and 0-60 meter built in
  2. Due to an impending purchase my Knocklink and Lambdalink will be for sale in the next couple of weeks. Probably the Dawes device as well and possibly the Greddy turbo timer with harness So declare your interest just now for when they are removed from the car I will post prices once i find out how much they sell for second hand Grant
  3. Due to an impending purchase i need to source a std dump valve from an early 2000 Turbo or WRX Someone local must have a std one kicking about the garage! Will try in here before posting in For Sale/Wanted, after that it is trousers down time at Glenburgie Grant
  4. WOW The auction lasted 5 mins and some bu*ger has walked away with a Lotus Esprit for 50p Grant
  5. Imy and myself, being smart ar*es, have already booked the Spectator pack and the B+B for the Fri and Sat night For the last couple of years Imy and myself have started of at Ayton, good burger van there, and followed the boys from Irish TV to the best speccy points. We average about 5 stages on the Sat finishing off at Langton water splash These guys are in a fully loaded Toyota Previa which you would think would be a doddle to follow. Oh how wrong we were forgetting one crucial thing, these guys were Irish and nuts. McGoo Sort of similar idea by dumping the car at the side of the road but no forests to scramble through. Grant
  6. Duck tape at B+Q should do the trick Grant
  7. Farmer Brown Getting prepped for the "SHOW AND SH*TE" competition Grant
  8. Heard a rumour of an altercation at KH Indeed a graphic illustration of the dangers of track days Who owns the Scoob and did you leave an SIDC flyer? Grant Cracking quality of pics even with a mobile

  10. Damn fine meet people Good to meet a few new and old faces in what must be the worlds largest Brewers Fayre Started to panic a wee bit when IckleRose and myself were separated from the main party in the transfer from the west wing to the Scooby lounge. All was well when Rose heard Spooks laughing in the distance. Dont know where you guys were heading when we left at chucking out time but the A1 was left. Being a stranger in a strange land, i could not take any chances and bugged out to the left ImprezaPete and ScoobyAndy, the 2 of you know what to do and i expect a full resume on my desk... Who was the guy driving the 450bhp Skyline, oh yeah it was me........albiet in the car park of said Brewers Fayre but if Stiks had not requested to have a look at said 450bhp R33 Skyline's engine then that straight out the front of the BF was lookng damn tempting. What a god damn machine, even at idle it sounds HUBBA HUBBA On a side note.....Filled the car at Paisley and burned just over 1/4 of a tank from Paisley to Musselburgh and back to Paisley.......Is this a record getting over 100 miles to a quarter of a tank.... Grant and Imy
  11. Good to hear from you, ya nutter Send us a bulk buy of that Mobil back and a .44 Magnum for posterity Weather here is in the high teens and Bute has broken its moorings, floated down the Clyde and is now docked at Dublin Passage Lurker's friend
  12. Z5 is the RA equivelent of the fabled Z4... Andy, your car should have a Z4 ecu as std The difference is in the load maps due to the different gearing in the RA. Grant
  13. Options for remapping a 22b are 1. Motec ECU ......... about £2500 plus.... 2. Pectel ................ about £2500 3. GEMS.................. about £1800 4. Apexi Power FC.. about £700 5 Dastek Unichip ... about £600 1 and 2 are the top of the tree and favoured by the World Rally Teams for the amount of features in can control and have the capacity to run items such as Water Spray, Launch Control and Anti Lag. 3 is favoured by the normal rally crews but is limited by its complicated binary based MAP 4 is the ECU favoured by the road car community for tuning potential 5 could be used to adapt the std 22b map to UK fuel The problem with Pectel and Motec is finding some one to supply and map in Scotland, you would probably have to source an ECU and take the car down south to get the ECU mapped to the car The problem with GEMS is similar but there are people in Scotland that can do it. Sam Ellasar AKA the Dentist is based in Dundee, Dastek in Dalgety Bay and Greersport in Beith who use Phil Marks. GEMS can be tricky to set up on a road car first time out and may require numerous call outs to iron out running bugs Apexi Power FC is the current favourite programmable ECU of choice. One of the reasons for this is the astoundings results achieved by AndyF and others using this ECU, another good reason is he is based in Edinburgh area The Dastek Unichip could be used to adapt the std STI 22b map to 97 RON fuel. Grant
  14. Way to much boost, AFAIK it should be about 1.4 bar dropping to 1.2 bar. The std map will not have a reference point for that level of boost. Do you have some sort of Knock monitoring or Air/Fuel Ratio monitoring as the hesitation you descibe could be DETONATION.| Is the APS cold air induction filter situated in the inner wing or located where the std air box was located? Agree with Mr NTS, the Dump valve will be stuggling to hold back the pressure at that kind of boost level. Grant
  15. Strange that. Ever since i stopped posting the sh1t has stopped and everyone is mellowing out. Grant Resident Bad Guy

LOL Overall i had a great day. For people that got a fright as the dethstar passed them out of the blue (sorry) thats the spirit of the gumball though. I use the system. 20. Big thanks to all that showed up. Sorry about the massive miscalculation on the fuel front If i say so myself, damn fine roads we have in this country and thanks to me for picking them. Doriken that was me in the red scoob up against the TDCi Focus that thought it was full WRC spec and Scoobkev, sorry i left foot brake a lot, dont actually scrub any speed just makes the car feel a bit more stable. I know it must annoy the hell out of peeps following me thinking "what the hell you braking for noo" and i should have a sticker on the back explaining....sorry Good thing about the weather in the Highlands, if you dont like it wait 20 mins and it is sure to change. Good to see so many nice cars with particuler mention to eastfifetyke and that bodykit......WOW Funny bit with the fat lazy pidgeon at Tomintoul, so fat it could not fly with a Type-R ready to flatten it Highlights for me were the Br of Cally to Braemar, the Lecht road and Braemar to Cally on the return. From Glasgow to Glasgow about 450 miles, 14 hours and 60 quid of fuel. The RED DRAGON, lol, performed admirably even on unleaded Texaco cr*p in the tank Good bit of grub at Perth with Jacqui and Gee WR1, pleasure to meet you Gee and fine brief you have there, and thanks to Jacqui's brother for helping his sister get to the "ball" Cheers Tam for the roll and bacon at Dufftown, nifty wee bit of kit there.
