  1. 321H with 740's will see you to 400bhp. £1395 plus VAT for the turbo from Andy
  2. oh dear. 2 tone looks utterly pish as does the red rot
  3. I've done it on my P1, you need a fitting kit. www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk will sort you out. You'll need 290mm discs as well. Big difference over the standard floating calipers. Give us a shout if you need anything else.
  4. Yep, the Welsho, I'm starting to think this aint a job for me! Main concern is the weight and if I make an erse of it i'll struggle to get it resolved! Don't have a scooby what an alignment tool is either! We shall see. Cheers for the input so far everyone
  5. Thanks for the input guys. Was thinking of an Exedy 5.5kg item, think it's around £275 but if I can get an OE one down to 7.5kg might go down that route. Pulleys will be getting done so looking forward to seeing the results. Cheers again
  6. Cheers chaps. Will decide over the weekend whether to tackle it or not. Likely be doing the flywheel as well. Is that reasonably straightforward too?
  7. Yep, Apexi. Would I need to get the map tweaked to accomodate if I went for one of the low weight ones?
  8. I've gathered you get quicker revs both up and down, you need more revs on pulling away and that you can have problems with lumpy idle and vibration at certain revs. What would be the best for a P1, circa 400bhp, daily use and track days? Cheers Stuart
  9. Going to be swapping the box on my P1 for another. I have fairly basic mechanical experience - is this something I should risk tackling myself? Cheers Stuart
  10. I ran around 340bhp on my P1 with the standard top mount. Anything above that you'll need a FMIC or STI8 top mount
  11. looks pretty bare! Lost the air con in my P1, heavier than I thought but the rear seats in the 2dr weigh nothing. Is yous the RA with the hand made inlet manifold?
  12. Thanks, top day all in
  13. you had a fair bit of mud in the front right wheel/disc! At least nobody can say you weren't trying hard enough!
  14. Cheers, was so pleased with it today. 3 years and a few quid and it's finally how I want it, with the P1 block!
  15. I heard a while ago that a lot of new cars don't have spares but some come with some form of recovery cover and the tyre weld stuff My mate had a focus RS and it didn't have a spare, not even anywhere to put one! He ended up with a space saver bouncing around the boot! Dunno what in the RA would save you much weight, are most parts not as light as poss anyway?
  16. Any idea what year? standard rods? pistons? crank? how many miles covered?
  17. What a day, even the rain couldn't keep the smile from my face! Cheers to John for arranging and everyone at Knockhill. For me, the car (P1 with the black bumper) really got its first outing in it's completed state mechanically. The body needs some work! New 355mm AP's ad Tein suspension were absolutely amazing. The car is a credit to Andy F and Kenny Brown who on Thursday did the geometry with corner weighting. It handled and braked superbly. Finished early at 12 due to an empty tank and some high knock readings but think that was due to the low fuel levels. The Lotus's came into their own when the track dried and there was some very quick Scoobs and Evo's there too. Hope everyone had as much fun as me. Superb! Look forward to seeing all the pics Cheers
  18. what is the rebuilt block and what spec is the uprated bottom end? More info will get you an appropriate response
  19. he has them up there anyway if you cant get them tonight. Don't panic!
  20. got 355mm front discs so 18's it has to be. Looking to invest in a spare set when finances allow. Will give it a go on Sat and report back. Cheers everyone
  21. Dunno what to go for. It's a P1 on 18's, 225/35/18 running Tein Superstreets. Any suggestions welcomed. Cheers
  22. Looks really good Andy, those tyres are massive! Knockhill this weekend?
  23. Excellent, didn't know Kenny did gearboxes. Cars booked in on Thursday for geometry so will speak to him then. Cheers
  24. Hi all. Synch rings/hubs are away on 5th on my P1 and I expect 4th to follow. Toying with a rebuild and possibly a PPG build but really looking to get prices first as will no doubt do a flywheel and clutch at the same time so need to know pennies before commiting. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers
  25. EBC pads aren't to good IMO, i've wrecked red stuff and yellow stuff. Ferrodo DS2500 are the pads to go for and Godspeed brakes will sort you some quality grooved discs that are warrantied even for track use
