My friend has an A3 Tdi and has just test driven a 2005 Turbo WRX. He found the Impreza slow with little 'ummph'. I've not really driven a new Impreza (I have a tweaked MY00) so this really surprised me. Anyone really surprised by this? I wonder if it was just knackered (although at a main dealer with 30K).

I was trying to check my water levels last night (MY00 Impreza Turbo) but noticed there is only the little pipe that feeds into the radiator? Should I be checking the indicator where I fill the water? Thanks in advance for any help

Shame you didn't want to part with some cash too. I've got a 2000 UK Turbo, FSH, 54k, 3 owners but given I paid £7k 12 months ago I'd be after a fair wad! Nevermind, looks a lovely 205.

I always think of selling mine and then go out for a drive - all thoughts are wiped from my mind. I really do still love the Classic, the noise, the pace, the grin............all worth it. My low mileage means an average of 57p per mile........ Still smiling though

I'd suggest throwing in a couple of tanks of super and see what you think. I'd opt for Shell or BP - up to you - always worth a try.

I'm running Dunlop Sport SP9000 on a MY00 classic - handle well but wear is dubious (or maybe that is me)

Hmmm, I get about 28mpg. 200 miles is roughly £35, a tank of super gives me around 360 miles (I don't much town driving)

I have a WRX (MY00) and I'm thinking of buying a front strut brace......is this a worthwhile thing to do? Will I see/feel any real gain? Any thoughts appreciated.

I thought the cars from Malta have to be serviced to a different schedule to UK cars?

I had a similar quandry when I went to the Ring. I think I would get her serviced before the track days (not sure how far away the service is?) and then change the oil again afterwards. Better safe than sorry with these things? Enjoy the track days....

Just thought I'd give a quick review on both of these garages as I went to both at the weekend. Westaway Subaru - as before, really good service and good chat to be had - really knowledgeable service manager (Ian) and the MOT was all done pain free. I've always had a lot of time for this dealership and this attendance was like all others - very good. Zen Performance - I've heard only good things about this service centre, so went on hearsay - it didn't disappoint, excellent customer service and really knowledgeable staff - service done promptly - all smiles here. I think we are always too eager to be negative on those garages that let us down so I'm just praising these guys for their good work

I'm trying to renew my insurance on my MY00 Impreza Turbo (standard). 3,000 mileage policy, 9 years NCB, clean for the last 5 years, car sits on the road (in London).... the best possible price is £760 - even Gary Moulsdon wanted £900 plus... Any ideas (other than to move out of London) to get the price down? I'm 30 by the way
