  1. Hmm, I was after £3,600 for mine and it has 59k and full history - so watch the price.
  2. Thanks Iain - will check again tomorrow - it was changed a few months back but i've never checked the levels since then
  3. Daft question - but where is it? Can't find it anywhere? I thought it was underneath the intercooler?
  4. RB5 yes - different RB320 to the one I was thinking. Found a picture of myself..............awful slow photo though!
  5. Admiral charge around £60 extra for a different exhaust system
  6. Didn't see you - did you see the RB320? Saw a couple of silver classics and an RB5.....plus some non UK Turbos
  7. 11 1/2 hours door to door (including 2 hours on the ferry) - the drive home always makes me wonder why I do it...........until the next time when I've forgotten all about it. Were you in a silver classic?
  8. I try to get there once a year too - it's always the drive home that is a killer! Oh yeah - cheap or mismatched tyres are horrible, I had Falkens (on the back) of mine and they were awful. The back just used to step out when you were least expecting it (READ - midly moist roads).
  9. Dunlop SP Sport 9000 (or the new Sport Maxx) tyres - I have been very happy with mine. 888's are amazing in the dry but the wear is poor.
  10. Very good point - when the car comes back in one piece it's a good trip! I did have a few 911's (997s) tip toeing passed me in the wet, annoyingly getting on my line. So glad I replaced my rear tyres, having matching tyres made so much difference - thinking about heading out there again later in the year but will probably wait until next year...
  11. I think that is the conclusion i'm coming to - i'll just leave it as a 5 speeder. Ring trip was great - got a few good laps in and only one wet lap (which was horrible). How did you get on?
  12. hmmm, maybe it would just be easier for me to buy an STI - does the classic STI come with 6?
  13. After just coming back from the Ring this weekend I had this idea that I'd really like a 6 speed box as 5th doesn't seem long enough for paced cruising. Does anyone know if this is a very expensive option or even possible (in a MY00 classic turbo)? Thanks
  14. I love my H&S exhaust - I cannot rate them enough.
  15. Finally got them fitted on Friday for £91.80 each (including all the other costs). I tried both MyTyres and blackcircles but they both wanted more. Hope you can source some cheaper tyres...
  16. I'm looking for some new tyres (205/50/16) for my Classic - to match the others on the front I need Dunlop Sport SP 9000 - the prices seem to have shot up from last year. Cheapest (fitted) I can find is just over £90 each......can anyone advise of somewhere cheaper to go? I need 2.
  17. I'm heading out for my annual trip to the Ring, just wondered if anyone (from SIDC) will be over there that weekend?
  18. Hi Occasionally I have sweeping ideas of selling my classic Turbo and buying a second hand Litchfield. Does anyone have any knowledge on the realistic running costs? They also don't seem to be for sale that often, I have found the odd one on Pistonheads and a couple on Litchfields own website.......is there anywhere else worth looking? Is there a forum dedictaed to Litchfield Imprezas? Thanks in advance
  19. I am in need of getting my MY00 Turbo remapped and was going to go down the Ecutek route. One of my friends is going to use software called Millennium, as used my Red Dot Racing. Has anyone experience on how these work with Subarus? I know they have done countless Nissan GTR's etc
  20. A 52 at that money sounds a little high.........keep looking, it's a buyers market
  21. I have to say I'm starting to come around to the new shape. I don't know if I could buy one but this new colour and the Lichfield makes me wonder. Still love my classic
  22. Just fully decatted my Classic turbo - the sound deeper and the rumble more prenounced but not too loud inside the car. But yes, you'll hear the turbo spool a lot more and the dump valve (if like me you have a noisy bugger fitted).

  24. The minute you think you're Scooby isn't the fastest thing on the street is the time to look at more upgrades
  25. 28mpg on a good run, around 19mpg around town - 8mpg around the Ring.
