  1. Hi Stans, we were discussing this at Silverstone today with T5NY... definately interested so will be watching this one with interest. Nige
  2. Hi mate welcome we're in bedfordshire so bound to see you around
  3. Hi there Check out the for sale section T5NYW is currently selling a cracking hawkeye and being the JDM the internals and spec are arguably better than a UK model good luck with the hunt...
  4. Hi mate, welcome onboard... good to chat on Sunday PS ... Roger Clark are not to far away from you... they're in Hinkley
  5. blue Type R or RA ... driver asking for sweet and sour something :kerstsmiley:
  6. We'll keep our eyes open for the layby on A420 and see you there as near to 7 as possible
  7. hey good man Ian .... once its on you best get your a**e along to a meet so we can have a butchers
  8. that list of mods will probably set you back ay least £3k and you'll get around 300bhp for your cash Then you will still have a WRX engine internals, turbo, not very good brakes and farely woolly suspension (power is nothing with out control ) I'd go for the STi either with PPP or the mods you mentioned above and as a base car you'll be at where your trying to get your WRX .... although saying that have a chat with Ace he's looking to sell is non PPP STi and thats kicking more than my old PPP STi did
  9. Welcome and enjoy your new toy Check out the Oxford region..... iam sure you'll you be in good hands with Iain (Big D) .... get some piccies up when you can
  10. pmsl.... I shouldn't laugh coz i bet its really annoying. They're quite a tight fit and not easy to pull out so sounds like it might not be fitted in properley Is it sat in the guides ok etc.... ?
  11. Ian A cheaper option than coilovers would be to go for Eibach springs and a good geometry setup = lower ride height and still good road handling, also cheaper than coilovers But i'd be inclined to go for the exhaust first
  12. so far i'am with you on that one Al But then again i did not rate the hatch until i saw it in the flesh .... jury's out for now
  13. well you're doing the right thing by having a good look at everything that goes with ownership so no nasty surprises i'd rather pay someone that knows what their doing when it comes to servicing and then i can enjoy the driving
  14. here you go.... found this a little bit more accurate than what my 'addled brain can remember recommended service schedule
  15. i would say 20-25mpg is realistic from an STi Of course that will go down when on those late night blasts but hey.... who ever bought an Impreza for fuel economy As for servicing i would budget something like this £120 for an oil/filer change (A service every 5-10k), £350 or so for your plugs, filters and oil/fluids (B service once a year/every 10k) and some thing like £500+ for the belts one which i think also covers diff and gear box oil (C service i think thats every 30k) and i think the schedule goes something like A, B, C, B, A, C, A, B, C all this was off the top of my head so not completely sure Hope this helps
