  1. I have a spare ticket for Trax and a 15 minute session (briefing is at 10.40), track time is 11.40. Happy to take face value, will split. £15 trax entry £30 silverstone track time
  2. I've got a spare ticket & booked track time (11:40am) for 15 minutes. Trying to get face value, so, £45 all in? I'm going to be up at Silverstone early on the Sunday morning
  3. Will there be a print out for each motor rolling roaded?
  4. Emoe - I think you may have hit the nail on the head? Maybe i'm lifting off a little mid corner as the I do get some fish tailing. I had one moment on the Ring in the dry but I put it down to just getting the approach all wrong. So if I'm overcooking it into a corner (the answer isn't don't overcook it in a corner) is the best way out of the corner to just keep the power on?
  5. I will definately adjust the pressures and take it from there. I've never liked those Falken anyhow, some more SP9000's please
  6. I'm running standard 16s, around 30lbs of pressure. Is it usually the back that does step out and I'm not on full bore either. I assume that the handling should still be pretty brilliant in the wet then..........maybe I need to invest in some new Dunlops....
  7. I've got a MY00 UK Turbo Impreza, the dry handling is brilliant, very very good. In the wet it's a different story. 6mm of tread on the front, 4mm on the back. Dunlop SP9000 on the front, Falkens on the rear. Any ideas, almost tail happy, more times than not I've just kept myself out of trouble? Is it a problem with the loud pedal? It's running around 230bhp.
  8. For the servicing I would go to Hughberry, probably less than a 30 minute blast for you. I'm not sure about tuning though. Hughberry Vehicle Services Unit 3 The Old Quarry Springwell Lane Rickmansworth Herts, WD3 8UX Tel 01923775221
  9. I was hoping for something closer to London, but Rushden isn't that far away. Let me check the calender
  10. I am really keen to see what my Impreza is putting out (I'll be crying when they tell me 150bhp ) Are there any coming up in the South?
  11. Echoed by me too - great guys & service they offer.
  12. I paid £7k 14 months ago, I guess it's worth around £5k now? It's a MY00 Classic turbo, FSH, 55k Ahhh well, means its not worth selling.........better to spend money making it go faster!
  13. Mine is a second car, gets used once or twice a month (hence the 4,000 limited mileage policy). In London, the mileage makes a big difference
  14. I'm definately going, just need to confirm if I'm driving up on the day or on the Saturday.
  15. Personally I'd recommend (they are brilliant) Steve / Paul Hughberry Vehicle Services Unit 3 The Old Quarry Springwell Lane Rickmansworth Herts, WD3 8UX Loads of people from SIDC go there (for rebuilds/servicing) etc etc. Do a search for them in the General forums. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/lofiversion/index.php?t118043.html
  16. After much advice to take my Turbo there I did. Just picked her up. Really happy with the service, Steve & Paul are both good guys and I fully recommend them. They use their common sense and called me with updates of how they were getting on / what they thought could do with replacing in the near future etc. Their details are: Paul /Steve Hughberry Vehicle Services Unit 3 The Old Quarry Springwell Lane Rickmansworth Herts, WD3 8UX Tel 01923 775221
  17. Welcome.............not the best for knowledge (others will follow), but mileage wise check out this thread: http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtop...&hl=mileage Above all, enjoy
  18. I think on my last lap in my Classic I was lapping around 11 minutes, but still getting embarrased by my mate in his A3tdi lapping at 9 minutes 40 - I was in the car timing it, I wouldn't have believed it myself. I guess that is what comes of knowing every corner and entry and exit speeds. I think he has done around 35 laps. I'm eager to get back out there (only ever done 7 laps) and break into the 10 minute somethings...
  19. I have been considering a strut brace for a while (only on the front). Is this a waste of time/weight or will i feel any real benefit on my classic turbo.
  20. Great to hear the guys at Zen Performance are doing us all proud still. Sounds like a good motor you have there!
  21. Thanks people - I'm going to shop around and see what I can find. I think first things first I'll get her rolling roaded to get a real feel of what power I actually have.
  22. After a good few months of wondering whether I should sell my Scoob I've decided to keep her and invest some of the money I would have wasted on another on her. She is currently running a prodrive kit so I think the power is around 230 - a rolling road test needs to be done just to double check. I enquired a while ago and it seems £1k would give me a remap, sports cat and roughly 285bhp. How would people spend £2k to get a better balance of power, handling, braking etc etc. Thanks
  23. V Power or Tesco 99 (although the mpg seems to fall on the Tesco). My MY00 Turbo doesn't seem to like Sainsburys S/UL
