  1. Micheal Fox mate, his brother was in my year at school
  2. Yeah completely right, but I'm not looking at buying an older car but a newer plate and unfortunately it falls out of the criteria. Like I said, bloody lovely cars but I'd rather spend the £400 on the car and not putting Chantelle and baby Chelsea up in a lovely Riverside flat while I'm replacing tyres due to the state of the road, no longer being replenished by what I pay.
  3. The lad that had it done came from Neilston, he now has a Fozzy with a huge amount of Horsepower. A real wolf in sheeps clothing. I'm going to stick my neck out and say I like it! May not be everyones cup of tea but that car has had a lot of money spent and is a real credit to the previous owner. In all fairness, he isn't the first to do it... http://www.autoblog.com/2006/12/14/gumball...civilian-hands/ http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http...tx=41&ty=38
  4. After having a real crappy night at work, it's really made my morning mate!
  5. I would love a Hawkeye, WRX or STi they really are good looking cars and I am absoultely BURSTING at the seems for one, but I'm one of those people who refuses to hand over the government £400. I can more than afford fuel, insurance yadda yadda but its principle to be honest. After having a look in various garages for the past year, most garage owners complain that they hate having them traded in as they can never get shot of them and that includes STi's. Anyone who know 1st choice on Drumoyne Road, Ibrox will have noticed that they no longer stock anywhere near as many Scoobs as they used too. Scott Baillie cars is the same. I know these are only 2 cars out of a ridiculiously huge network, but these really have fallen into the "specialist" category now. Its just a real shame that buyers dont realise the hard work and money that people like John have poured into the cars, they just see an Impreza and reckon its had the backside ragged out of it.
  6. Thats crap mate, after 9 years of of zilch claims all of a sudden you get kicked in the crotch for one. I swapped to Admiral, because bizarrely Elephant (Admirals sister company) quoted me £200 OVER what I paid last year and Admiral quoted me £200 under. Insurance companies are weeeeiirrrddd
  7. Dunno mate, I reckon you need to get your finger out the plughole and build it. Sitting awaiting for 5.30 to appear, so I can take the car for it's pimp daddy window tints going on!
  8. Ever heard of the saying "People in glass houses should'nt throw stones?" Thank you to the people who educated me on something I did'nt understand, thank you to Ciaran for taking that stupidity to a whole new height.
  9. Robson_scottAThotmailDOTCOM or my mobile is Zero7710Seven3237Seven Ehhhh....?
  10. These things are afterthoughts. I work on a lot of machinery and you soon realise that the designer hasn't thought heehaw about the engineer that needs to fix it.
  11. Oi Oi Neil! Sorry mate, was a last minute thing. Was supposed to be in Bristol and Mark needed something done so it was spur of the moment. Whats needing done on the Classic?
  12. All great pictures. Took these on Friday night after Rich and Mark came to the workshop to play... May give you an idea of why the were at the workshop...sorry Mark, thought it looked good! I took around 40 photos and most were crap, now I know I need a tripod!
  13. The do my box in every morning heading to the farm on the road to Inchinnan. Absolute nightmare!
  14. Nothing is as much fun as the Kawasaki Mule Marko. NOTHING!!
  15. I would've also said the flow issue as stated above. If the exhaust has been rattling then chances are its actually been a cat killing itself, then causing a trap.
  16. Coaches are for old people that smell of wee I spent today removing the hydraulic pump from a Ransomes Fairway mower.
  17. We at work, like you carry a lot of expensive equipment on board. One of our lads stays in Milton, due to the area he had his van done over constantly. Eventually we had to take it to the bodyshop and have all the handles removed along with locks and filled in. It now works on a solenoid system, teamed up with a Cobra fob to open them. We use the advised locks above on the other vans as well. Seems a bit extensive, but when you spend £5k+ on tools like we do you want to know your investment is kept well looked after. Hope that you can find a solution.
  18. Could well take the Terzo AND the Newage in this little baby. Parking that is...
  19. Well after searching high and low for a decent one for over a year, I finally gave in and let her trade-in my Ibiza for her own car. Out of pocket (and headroom) we finally picked this rare wee car up in Galashiels. It has a 699cc Turbocharged engine. I have to admit, after having a shot its a lot of fun. Shhhh, I never said that...
  20. ...for helping me out today. He changed my pads (yes I know I'm a mechanic) and a droplink in super quick time so I could get away to Bristol in the morning without any hiccups. Give him your business, he's a top bloke.
  21. I had a look at a Fuji FinePix Superzoom S1500. Guy at the shop (one of those ones) told me it was the better of the bridging cameras. Reviews online seem to back it up.
  22. Hi, I looked into it mate, I wouldnt bother. Go on Glasgow Gumtree or Ebay and buy a used SLR for that money and youll be as happy as larry. I bought Gus's SLR for not far off that amount and I'm over the moon with it.
