  1. Lucky you! Must've been hard? Spent 2 weeks in the French Alps and loved it. Would love to try the Stelvio. Must be even better coming down!!! Programme was great too!!
  2. I have no idea what you're talking about!!!! But....in the next couple of weeks....one day...my wife will be at work....I'll be on a day off..... to Greers!
  3. Secret mods!!!?? What secret mods??!!
  4. Andy, Great stuff. Worth the download time and it's something we can keep to watch over and over!
  5. I'm Beith way so I'll look out for you! I've a MY05 Crystal Grey wagon....if you see me...
  6. Hello and welcome. If you look in the Events section it will tell you about the meet ups. The Glasgow one is the first Thurs of every month but there is an Ayrshire one as well.
  7. Watching the service made me all a shiver again! If you play this..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxXwIIBlSgw which is Cal's link to Chasing Cars and then watch either of Stewartyboys vids from Happendon it seems the perfect track for watching the cars leave and remembering the day.
  8. Another car I loved was Howies RA...think from Cumbrian Scoobs. Had his drivers name in the rear window....Howies RA with his Japanese co-driver FOO-KIN-RAPID (or something close to that!!)
  9. I confess.....after seeing your Forester, I'm a total convert. A great example of what can be done. Might get one myself one day...................... when I'm a bit older
  10. As far as the poem goes.....I didn't mind appearing sentimental today! Great photos Stewart. I'm still loving the one looking backwards on the convoy with the C. McRae sticker on show in my back window. The car park at Lanark looked like a dealership forecourt....mind you with that many, more like the Subaru factory waiting for them to be shipped out!! How did 'THAT' Forester sneak in there???!!
  11. with everything! Well, not much more I can add to the other posts. Being a Blobeye (c'mon the wagons!) I was relatively far along the convoy so had a great view. I felt like a fish with a 3 second memory because everytime I looked in my mirrors I was like, 'WOW'....as if I was seeing it for the first time!!! For the organistion etc...arise Sirs Ally and Squiggle Delighted there was such a great turn out in Lanark. The service and clips were great. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars Great job by my colleagues in blue/black. Today I was immensely proud to be a Scooby owner, a member of the SIDC and being able to take part in today.
  12. Ally....just wanted to say a big thank you for the terrific job you've done with this bit of organising and speaking with the police etc.
  13. Very good question!!! I was just wondering that myself!
  14. 1. Squiggly 2. coulty ( the young classic) 3. Corsa ( the fast pensioner) 4. Richie
  15. Daft question but I take it this is meet up to head to Happendon services in convoy? If so, I'll add my name to the list. Stewartyboy....I'm heading from Beith way so will be heading past Renfrewshire I guess so can pick you up.......unless someone you actually know can do it......just in case I'm some odd axe murderer!!!
  16. Seems to be the case. Might be a daft question.....but...will the family also be at the service? Will it be the service then the family will have the funeral in private? Didn't know if this was 'THE' service or just put on so non family members can pay their respects etc. Just wondered if we would know the route they would be taking and then we could leave the cars in 'formation' along the route before heading into town? Wouldn't have to be right in the town centre.....as long as the family could see it etc?
  17. with all of the above. Brilliantly done. Not so much the hairs on the back of my neck standing up but all over.
  18. Great job folks Watching the BBC news brought more than a wee tear to my eye.
  19. Sorry for not being to give you an answer but at least it's petrol in a petrol tank! I had an off day when I was filling up the works car (police) and put petrol into the diesel! Realised when I had put about a fivers worth in.....so.....just filled up the rest of the tank and assured myself it would be ok!! Thankfully it mixed ok!!!!
  20. Hello there, I've got a MY05 WRX wagon and so far I've had the Eibach springs fitted. That dropped the car by about 25mm and I'm really happy with them. A lot of folk will give you other makes etc. Can't speak for the Prodrive though. Or wheels for that matter.....I'm sticking with my 17's. As far as droplinks and arbs go, don't think many people would say anything else but Whiteline which will do the lot. A mixture of good prices and performance. For prices you can contact a fellow forum member, Cusco Kid, for prices or AWD Motorsport. I'm in Ayrshire so someone else will be able to advise on a place to fit up north. Have fun!
  21. Excellent figures and lots of fun to be had! I've got a WRX PPP...only 2.0 though. Does the extra .5l and the VF34 make that much of a difference? Don't know much about the turbos with regards to the difference between that and my standard one? Can I ask how much the VF34 cost you? So far I've had my Eibach springs, anti lift kit and I'm about to get Whiteline arbs/droplinks. Got the Meercat sports cat downpipe that you've got and a Meercat centre section. Was saving up to get the up pipe and re-map at the same time. Andy F had told me I'd maybe only see 20bhp more so maybe............. VF34.........
  22. You should try working in Helensburgh! You do wonder why people think they'll report certain things to us! I am an AFO but keep my rants to myself!!!
  23. Stewart, Great answer. Cheers. Looks like I'll leave the up pipe for now then. I'm not really mechanically minded so didn't know how restrictive certain parts are etc. I was just thinking....mmm, only £xxx ....I could afford that!! Looks like I'll get my arb's/droplinks first while I do more overtime and get the up pipe/re-map in quick succession!!! I guess I was indeed getting hung up on the power gains rather than all round driveability. I don't know figures I expected to get from Andy. As far as lean fuelling goes, I've had the fuel pump uprated so should be ok there. Thanks for all the answers guys and gals.
