Love that comment!!! But true. the styling is starting to grow on me.. But still don't feel it's worthy of the Impreza name.. Maybe once I see a few on the road.. Silver works best IMHO.. Only because it's hides the gawd awful rear light cluster... Black has gone from one of hte best colours to

Already got a copy of it.. Recorded it the first time it was on last weekend.. Watched it when I got back from Lanark which probably wasn't a great idea as it kinda hit a nerve... Thanks though..

Nice idea!!! A-1 > Most signwriting/vehicle lettering companies should be able to do this for you. Alternatively you can try and apply all the vinyls yourself. it's doable but time-consuming and with the size of vinyls it will be tricky unless you'v;e had previous experience. A-2 > To get it done professionally I'd guess a ballpark figure of £250 > £500 But each company prices these things differently.. If just buying the vinyls seperately expect to pay around £50 > £100 again maybe more.. You "may" be able to arrange a discount if you let the company put a wee advert on your car along with the rest of the decals. A-3 > Generally no.. If left on for several years then removed you may be left with marks where the paint has been faded by the sun and not where the vinyls were stuck on. If it's just temporary a few weeks/months you may find after removing that you get slight outlines where the stickers were. Especially noticeable when washing the car. the water seems to respond differently where the stickers were compared to where they were not. Almost like a ghost of what was there before. But that can usually be cleared up with a couple sessions of polishing to get any residue removed.

That's a great bit of marketing!! ... Shame the car doesn't look that good.. Actually I've been thinking about it.. How did they get them in there.. And more importantly how will they get them out without a scratch???
-
yeah see this thread here: http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=106577 Order them by Pm'ing me (Eep!! that almost sounds dirty!) Sweet! that'll be 3 RB's with my stickers on them!! Still got my ribbon ont he wing morror.. Looking a little frayed but it's still on! and no intentions of removing! I may remove the rally style stickers after a while but no intentions of doing so at the moment.. And if I do. I will have some other tribute somewhere on the car like the singature stickers on the rear wing. Fixed permanently on the car in reminder to what Colin Meant to me and Subaru.. If someone had a Colin McRae tribute on their car then decided to clean it all off without replacing it I'd be offended to be honest! not a true Scooby Enthusiast IMHO But that's my thoughts on it... Never forget!!
-
Mine are staying on for the foreseeable future. And I'm still getting orders for more. I may remove them after a while but when I get round to getting the smaller signature stickers for my UK300 wing I can see them staying permanently as a reminder...

Jeez! that's nae soo good mate! That's my worst fear at the moment, hearing silly noises from under the bonnet. Maybe try and ECU diagnostic and see if it reports any clues. I can't remember how to do it on the classics off hand but I'm sure someone here can tell you. Something like connecting wires in the drivers footwell to activate test mode or something and it's flashes an LED on the dash so many times to determin a fauilt. (It's more straight forward on the newage but you need seperate equipment) heh same here... Just did the 444 mile round trip (why couldn't it of been 555 miles...) to Lanark and back yesterday and all is well. ..

I wave to pretty much every scooby I see, yet the only people to wave back are people that know the car The "young dudes" just seem to glare at me as if to say "who the F*&k do you think your looking at" and the older drivers must think i've mistaken them for someone else.. It's truely sad.. For a while I was getting more waves from Bikers and Evo's Now I hardly get any response.. But I'm not giving up!... Unless I get RSI in my writs from waving too much... But yeah I do sometimes feel the drivers of classics somehow don't accept the newages so much... I wanted a classic! But he bugeye was cheaper on insurance!

What an amazing day.. Full of mixed emotions!... Well planned and huge thanks to everyone involved with organising the day expecially the local police, great work. Eariler in the week I wasn't planning on going down for this but on thursday night I changed my mind and thought I'll never get the opportunity give my support to something like this again. So on Sunday I came all the way down from Elgin To pay my respects. Met a couple of your guys at Stirling Services, felt left out not having a hawkeye TBH (Which reminds me, I owe someone £2 for a mug of coffee ) .. I am so glad I decided to make the journey!.. The convoy was fantastic!! Made a good lasting impression it's a shame it wasn't telivised or reported on.. That was a once in a lifetime event, and there is nothing else that will make that happen again.. The service was spot on as I say, mixed emotions during the proceedings, a day I will never forget. The stories about Johnny were heart braking, a fun wee lad, so clearly from such an early age had the same blood as his father and his father before that. No disrespect to brother Alistair who is a competitive driver, but Colin had that extra boost from somewhere that we will never truely understand and may never see again. Sadly I left the day with two regrets... First was not having a chance to meet more of you guys on the day.. Since the point of entering the happendon services I was bombarded by people who wanted the Colin McRae tribute stickers, I only had enough vinyl left for a small handful on the day and thanks for all the support so far (I'll have more available once I order more vinyl). Just on sunday alone with the sales of stickers £87 will be donated to the Jerviswood Trust! That's not including sales last week and sales to come. My seconds regret, not so much of the day itself but rather the feeling that I'll never have the chance to meet the great man himself.. I'd often hoped to meet Colin someday and sit down and have a casual chat and finally meet the man behind the wheel.. But that's never going to happen now... is it........ ... R.I.P. Colin....

That looks well smart!! Nice one!
-
Right ok.. I take it the Stirling Services will be the main meeting point for those coming from all directions of the north? That's where I'll be heading anyway.. P.s. Thanks Imy for the wee map

Ahh b*****r! good point... Never mind. you should still get them before sunday.. (I hope...)
-
You should get them for sunday.. I'll send them out 1st class tomorrow so really shouldn't take long to get to Aberdeen. Still not decided whether I'm going down on sunday or not, car was a little funny last weekend and it's a fair hike.. are there any plans for a stop off around perth or anything that I could maybe meet the rest of the northerners? If I do go down will probably head down the A9 way..
-
No problem.. I'll get an internal set cut out for ya... Nope didn't know that.. Nice if you can make it along to a meet up here, another Red Mica Scooby is just what we need Great bit of road that! Only driven it once.. and Must do it again sometime.. To save you coming all the way up to mine I could meat you in Aberlour/Craigellache some night? Failing that I work in Elgin during the day so if your though you could run in past and pick them up?
-
nae problem mate, Depending on what route you take to Aberlour I could maybe meet you somewhere.. Otherwise I'm only a couple miles off the main A96 at Lhanbryde if you fancy a de-tour Although I may not be around Thurs Evening... But I'll just be in Elgin if that suits you..
-
Bump! Sorry I know I'm not supposed to bump these things but I'll only do it once on this thread to remind people about the stickers.. I've put a post in the sales section for anyone interested.. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=106577 They will be sent out 1st class royal mail so ordering now you "should" get them before the weekend!!
-
Never really dealt with them much. But when I was looking to buy a scoob I noticed they seemed overpriced for what they offered. They had a couple nice cars when I was looking but out of my price range. Ended up getting a newer car for less at SunnyHill Motors up in turrif. Really nice people to talk to up there no messing!
-
My brother insists that the spoilerless look is better (makes the car less nickable?), his ol WRX never had one and he's even considered de-spoilering his RB320!!! Me I think the impreza really needs it.. Even if it's just a low level spoiler.. the rear end just doesn't look right without one IMHO Other than that. I like the changes!!
-
Thanks, I'll have a skim though that thread. The car is a 01 Bugeye WRX (UK) I've got a pretty good idea where it's hiding now so that will be todays project.. Hopefully it's not blocked in by the exhaust... Fortunately the imrpeza guts dodnt seem to have re-arranged much over the years..
