  1. I had my side mounts bolted to a standard set of seat rails without any scrutineering issues in the Scottish hill climb and sprint championship last year. It did raise the seat height slightly too high to be honest but as long as the seat is secure you should be ok. It is better however if you can weld in bars to mount the side mounts to, demon tweeks do them with floating mounting nuts. Just screw the eye bolts into the captive nuts on the chasis at either side of the seat and to the two seat belt captive nuts at the rear and you will be fine. From memory I think you need a 4 point harness from this year on.
  2. Craig give doune a miss
  3. Sorry to hijack Gav I have the underfloor reinforcing plates from the cage if you need them. I removed them last week and they are sitting in the garage. Pm me if you need them.
  4. JetA1 wont be any use as its like diesel but if it was a seat leon in the touring cars set up then maybe
  5. Fud just coz mine is shiny under neath and ur fat boy isnt
  6. I would have thought that if the car is a daily driver you should have it mapped on V-Power or tesco 99 only. Then if you take it on track add 3ml/lt for a little extra protection Cant see any logical reason for mapping a car used on the road daily with NF, unless you have to much money and just need to spend some of it. If that is the case then I am more than happy to help you spend it
  7. Keep posting it up here but dont think people are getting the hint try Alyn at AS performance He will good deals on everything from brake pads to clutches etc
  8. Geo I am taking my strut brace off I reckon thats why I hit the wall at Doune
  9. I could always take it up Doune after all I dont have a track record of hitting things there Or if your really brave let John take it up
  10. Think you should ignore "someones" advice in future
  11. I have a Forge on fitted to my RA Hope these help it really is straight forward
  12. Not a problem Don, that wasnt where I bumped it, it was at the first corner. The pic shows me turning to go back down the hill, doesnt look bad from that pic but was looking a bit sorry for itself, but was all pretty much cosmetic apart from the stake that went right through the intercooler and the completely crushed intercooler pipe . As John said with a little help and a bit of brute force we got it fixed on sat night and back out on the sun . There are more pics on my project thread
  13. From memory I think they have to be of sufficient height to be safe in the seat belt, or they have to use a booster seat to ensure the seat belt is not round their neck if your using harnesses then there is no issue. John S would be the best person to PM for definate clarification.
  14. I done the one on the RA last year using the K&N cleaning kit from memeory you use the cleaning solution on the filter then give it a right good rinse under the tap and then leave to dry. I left it a couple of days indoors to make sure then re-oil as per the instructions. Make sure you dont over oil it tho
  15. Steve Drop either Harvey or Bob'5 a Pm on scoobynet. I would suggest an HDI hybrid FMIC as they are very good quality for the price and far superior to the autobahn kits. The kits prices may have changed in the links below due to currency changes but worth asking http://bbs.scoobynet.com/trader-announceme...ce-promise.html http://bbs.scoobynet.com/trader-announceme...no-messing.html
  16. Fit them yourself they are all easy bolt on items and then take it to John at Progrip in bonnybridge or get John to fit the parts for you, you might be very surprised at how reasonable his prices are. There are a few of us on here who sprint and hillclimb their impreza's who use Progrip, as geometry and suspension fitting and set up is his main business
  17. Jac thanks mate its definately M12X1.5 so will see what i can source. Craig thanks mate but most of the stuff on our aircraft are A/F or the car would be littered with titanium and alloy bolts Will try the places in paisley on the way to work, they will be high tenslie bolts tho definately.
  18. The PPP centre section cat removal pipe I got for my MY05 was a straight through pipe but still had the heat shields on so it looked like there was still a cat in there - bizarre obviously the heat shields had to go as they served no function other than add weight and car passes MOT fine with just the PPP sports cat
  19. The first thing you want to do is take a saw to the front bumper so air can get to the other 50% of the intercooler looking good though Cant see the feds pulling you to often coz its not a "shouty" car as clarkson would say.
  20. Russel its definately not M12X1.25. Thats the size of the bolts that came off the front 4 pots but they do not fit the brembo's I have had a thread gauge on the bolts I have tried and neither M12X1.25 or M12X1.75 fit they go in a few threads and binde up so it has to be a thread pitch of 1.5. Dave there is no way i will be paying £6 a bolt I take it you had to bend over before they handed the bolts over
  21. Neil I have loads of M12X1.25 which is a pretty common subaru thread and loads of standard bolts which are M12X1.75 but not M12X1.5 and the 1.25 and 1.75 dont fit so it has to be 1.5 pitch. What time you heading to Cosco could take a trip over and meet you there if its in the morning. cheers Archie
  22. looking for a set of 4 caliper mounting bolts for front Brembo calipers. The rebuild has ground to a halt as the bolts that came out of my 4 pots were M12X1.25 but the brembo front caliper is obviously a different size. I am pretty sure it is M12X1.5 so if any one has a set lying around it would be greatly appreciated.
  23. Give Geo "cusco kid" a PM you need KLC39 for your car, they are the spherical adjustable type
  24. oops double post
  25. Nice pics geo Just for info you can change the front roll bar on a blobeye by only removing the strengthing plate I have done it. You can also fit a blobeye front roll bar to a classic but cant fit a classic roll bar to a blobeye. My RA has a Perrin front roll bar which was destined for my 55 Plate WRX but never quite made it onto the road car . I did try and fit the non-adjustable whiteline 22mm front bar for the RA ont to the blobeye but it will not go on due to the mountings for the steering rack fouling on the bar.
