  6. Just watched the video it had me in tears again. Aint it funny how you never really know just how much somone means to you until there not there anymore. Last year in september we lost our hero Colin and 3 months later i lost my best friend Karen Aim (The lass who was murderd in Newzeland) and i have to say there both never off my mind but i do think of the happy times like Colin winning the Championship and Karens big smile that could warm even the coldest of hearts and that cheers me up
  7. also has anyone got a high velocity rifle to pick off the ones that run. I ran through a pot hole on the Aberdeen Airport road and bucled the NSF wheel on my RB320 so i took all the photo's, depth of the hole etc and contacted the council. I got a really nice reply from them with all the forms to fill in and send to their insurers (AXA) which i did very diligently. Got areply telling me to basically piss off!! Said the road fault had not been reported since they did asurvey some 3 months prior to my "accident" so they were not liable. Oh and by the way sir, if you decide to pursue this further we will launch an independant enquirey into your claim - christ i felt like a criminal................... Oh and by the way, the tar and stone chips thing is exactly the same here in Aberdeenshire......... How can they think there not responsible for that. We pay them alot of money to keep our roads to a good standard and theyr failing that with flying colours. If any other person knowingly did that damage to your car they would end up in court so why dont our councils ???
  8. Ya could just return it to the standard re-circ one its very quiet and you wont hear it. I think i have one for a new age kicking around if ya need one??
  9. I try to avoid it as best i can to but when they surround your house with it you dont have much choice. After hearing of so many people having the same problem in so many parts of Scotland its making me think i dont stand a chance with fighting the council and winning
  10. Think Am really starting to lose the plot with this WOOOOOSAAAAAAA
  11. I think its about we all stand up to this . Would it be to difficult for evry one in the different problem areas to make up patitions and leave them in shops and stuff for the locals to sighn if we got enough signitures we could go to the Scottish goverment over our negligent councils before someone gets hurt or worse KILLED. We need to do this together if we have any chance of getting anywhere i for one am far beyond all i can take from watching the car's i take great pride in getting damaged by some fat man sitting in his office filling his pockets of our money and doing such a shabby job of the roads we pay so much for. Does anyone feel the same way as i do ???
  12. Is it just somthing then about Island councils that have road repair techniques that were last used when apes rulled the planet or is it apes incharge of the councils ? i forget now !! sorry im wrong its Chimps and monkeys that are in charge of the councils not apes !!
  13. Nothing seems to bother them 100s of people complain every year even the police get on to them on a regular basis and they just say to us if you dont want your car damaged dont use it . In august 2 years ago a biker came off on the chips on a brand new R1 destroying the bike but thankfully not injuring him much ,He complained and demanded some compansation they told him he would not get anything as he should not be on a bike at this of year and it was his fault.
  14. Im posting this to ask the question do any of you guys have this problem with your council. Every year the Orkney Islands Council decides it needs to repair alot of the roads in orkney fair enough you might think untill you find out how they do it First they stick 20mph road sighns up every where, then they pour liquid tar on the road followed by a thick lare of pea sized chips that sharp you can make your brother bleed by throwing them at him. Now for the bad bit all this loose chips on the road get throwen up by cars damaging the paint as you all know what a mess it can make and there left on the road for all the cars to pack them in as the council will NOT roll them in as this costs to much and this can go on for two weeks or more before they decide to take the sighns away but they still leave the chips down leaving a road thats a car destroying death trap. How do they get away with this surly there must be a law againsed it if a farmer left mud on a road even with warning sighns and a car was damaged or there was a crash the guy would be court. After seeing how much the Scoobs paint has deteriorated in the last month i phoned the council going straght to the top to complain and all i got told was its the most cost affective method of road repairs and the same method is done thruought the UK Bull Plop i thoght he then told me the damage is probbly caused by poor quality paint on the subaru Sorry guys for rambling on so much i could go on alot with this but i wont for now but i am fighting to get the car repaired. so fingers crossed
  15. The thing i want to know is now that the oil has dropped over $20 a barrel why the petrol prices have NOT followed suit. The last time oil was at $118 petrol cost £1.14 a litre in orkney then oil shot to $142 a barrel and petrol in Orkney shot to £1.27 and diesel £1.42 and now were back to $118 a barrel but the petrol is still £1.24 and diesel at £1.41. I mean WTF who is dragging there heals here
  16. Had a lump in my throat watching that a very fitting tribute for our Hero
  17. Av been looking for insurance just now too. Im with A Flux at the mo and my renual was £1150 which was exactly the same as last year so i shopped around had two company's LLoyds of London wanted £895 so i then phoned A Flux they said we can beat that and quoted me £879 i then phoned swinton and they quoted me £866 i then phoned A flux back and they beat it again and quoted me £859 £ 291 cheaper than the renewal notice how in the name can they do that why did they not just quote me that in the first place ????
  18. I Think its made it look a bit more stealthy imo
  19. Here we are i think this is as far as im going i think it looks pretty good
  20. Think i might take them all off appart from the STI and type uk badges and see what like i can always replace them
  21. Thats them just trying to hide the fact they cant afford the top o the range Merc
  22. I Have to say that looks damn sweet NOT Chavvy at all i actually think it makes it look more prestige IMO
  23. It does look good with the clean look but even then i think it needs somthing there i was thinking of just leaving the STI and WRX badges and removing the S U B A R U one as i do think its a bit over powering on the boot plus its a pain in the behind to clean around
