  1. I took the Scoob out for a run today and noticed it needed fuel so i went to a local petrol station in Kirkwall after checking out the other stations the cheepest i could get it was £1.18 it cost me £54 for 43 litre of petrol. and thats just 95 ron. What price do you guys all pay in what area's???. Oh forgot to say i saw one staition asking £1.31 for Diesel how much does tht suck?
  2. When did they come up withthis idea?? they should take the price down as the reason were paying so much is because the oil price is so high just now so if there is less oil being used to make petrol then the price should come down thats what i think anyway. Oh and if ya think £1.17 for V-Power is bad then you should try having to pay £1.21 for pishy 95 ron.
  3. Erm not sure about that but me bumper needs fixed ???
  4. I have to say tho it scared the living shmit out of me im just glad my mum answered her phone and got to the house in the in the time she did because i dont think i could of stood the pain much longer than i did. Thank god she drives a scooby lol she told me she was doing over 100mph after my frantic phonecall. Just hope to hell it never happenes again. Have to say my knees are a bit sore tonight .
  5. Well i had a near miss today. Working on my Scooby in the garage i had the car jacked up for a bit while i cleaned the wheels and calipers. When i was done i put the wheels back on and dropped the car down with the front wheel coming to a rest on a block of wood as the car is too low to get the jack out otherwise. Before reversing out I wanted to check there was nothing underneath the wheels. It was as I walked behind the car I noticed it coming towards me! It pinned me against the garage door with the rear bumper - bending both knees backwards causing a hellish amount of pain and more than a little panic when I discovered the wood was in front of the wheels, stopping any forward movement I though this was not the best time to be home alone, my fiance being at work. I found then I was lucky enough I had my mobile in my pocket which I managed to get to... but only just! I called my mum who arrived as fast as x2. She pulled the block of wood from underneath the car and we pushed the car forwards, thankfully taking the entire weight of the car off my kneecaps As I gained my composure and got the feeling back in my knees to my horror I noticed I had bent the rear bumper which is by far the most distressing part. I learned a few lessons from this - always put the damn handbrake on and if you manage to get trapped by your car try and make it against a stronger part of the bodywork to avoid dents! So that was my day. Anyone have anywhere they can recommend to fix my bumper?!
  6. Woo Hoo solved the problem finally !!!!!! it was the left side strut top mount that was the wrong way round so i changed it to the way it should be and then re-set the geometry as it put the wheel 3/4 of an inch out so set that an Bobs youur uncle Fannys your aunt and every body S**** your sister its sorted

  10. Yeah all the tyre pressures are the same . As for the steering you have to turn against it the whole time and then a lot more so when you accelerate i wondered about the diff but AWD and a few other garages have been telling me this is highly unlikely but which would probbly be the case for me with my luck with cars.
  11. Hi guys am still havin problems with the car pulling to the left i checked the following things Tracking, Geometry, Bushes, Ride hight, damper stiffness, brakes and so on all is fine but still this problem its pulling worst under acceleration am really starting to pull my hair out about this as the car is a pig to drive can anyone help ???
  12. Exellent thanks for your help al let you know how i get on.
  13. I tested my camber and i have found the passenger front wheel has a negative camber around 3.5 mm more than the driver side am i guessin right this could be my problem?????.

  18. I had noticed it before the tyre change but i guess going from cheap tyres to top of the range ones has let me feel it more. When i come off shift again al look at getting the camber checked me thinks and al take it from there
  19. Can i ask does your car have hight adjustible shocks on i was told i might have one corner sitting lower than the other side. Which would cause the pulling off to one side.
