  1. I recently asked my insuarnace company what effect not renewing my tracker subscription would have. It made the policy £50 cheaper.
  2. Chameleon wheels look good when done but the lacquer failed on all 4 of mine within the year. They didn't want to know and told me it was my fault as I must have been using abrasive cleaning products. I was only using soap and water. I know of others who had the same issue. My advise is to go elsewhere.
  3. Not showing as a member yet, but just rejoined the fold.
  4. Very sad news. Condolences to the families involved.
  5. Spotted you heading that way this morning.
  6. Just go my renewal in. £453 with Admiral (£250 excess) for my 2002 WRX, not many mods, but all declared. 31, with 9 years NCB and car is garaged at night. Me and 2 named drivers. Commuting only for me. Strange thing is, the best I can get shopping around for a new policy is £750, and that was going with Admiral as a new customer Multi car works out more expensive for me (other car is a 2004 1.6 Corolla, with Bell, part of the Admiral group).
  7. See them out on th A80 at Muirhead quite often at night (beyond midnight sometimes) where it goes from 50 to 30.
  8. [quote na me=grant hay' timestamp='1294245420' post='1397402] Hi ive got this sti now, bought it from eaglesham subaru glasgow , but it was registered forfar i think. is theyre any particular reason or anything you want to know about the car, have you owned it at some point. cheers
  9. If it works let me know!
  10. Can you fit a diesel genny under the bonnet?
  11. I got a set from the dealers a while back. Might have been in a Subaru box but they had Bosch written on them. The exact same blades in a Bosch box are cheaper! Avoid cheap versions though, useless.
  12. Anyone else get a message from SIDC on Facebook asking them to vote for Frenchy for Chairperson and Karyn Kelly as membership secretary? Bit cheeky doing that under the sidc banner on facebook.
  13. I am with Admiral. I have just saved an additional £50 on my premium by removing my tracker. Admiral tell me that for my car (Bygeye WRX) they don't want it found if it is stolen as it is too much hassle. They just want it never to be seen again, write off as stolen and payout the claim. To say I was astonished was an understatement.
  14. Don't worry, it was on Discovery so it will be repeated every other day for the next month and then once a month for the next 10 years!! Anyone else think the rear dif was leaking?
  15. Just finished watching it on +1. What were those stripes all about? Had to smile at the warped discs, fixed by bolting on a set of Brembos. If only it was that easy, my identical Bugeye kept warping a disc. Best part of a grand spent going to 3 different garages to finally find a damaged hub carrier was causing it. That aside, looked a tidy motor. Can't believe he thought he was going to get £6k for a 2001 Bugeye. £5.4k in the end was still pricey. Not sure how genuine the programme is though.
  16. Feck, my work Christmas night out is that night!
  17. Thought it might have been my other half's Cousins. They are big agricultural contractors in Ayrshire and run John Deer combines and tractors. Not them however. Glad everyone is ok in the end and hopefully the insurance won't be too much hassle and you will be back in an Impreza soon.
  18. Welcome. Nice looking example there. Get yourself along to a meet (see events section) and say hello. We are a friendly bunch!
  19. Alternatively, a very nice Newage there!
  20. Very moving and very well written. I didn't know that Campbell Roy used to co-drive for him. A very sad loss to Scottish rallying. My thoughts to all those involved.
  21. Welcome along. Nice classic there.
  22. Welcome to the forums mate. Very nice looking motor you have got there. Hope it isn't too boring over on this side of the divide
  23. Glad everyone is ok mate. I notice you are based in Ayr and the Combine is green. Out of interest did this happen locally, and if so, what was the name of the farmer or company? I am sure there is more than one green combine in Ayrshire, but there is a chance I might know them.
  24. Glad you are ok mate, looks a sore one. It is a shame about the car but the main thing is that you are all ok. Lights? An alien feature to the farmers down my way. Twice met a tractor in the dark in the last 2 weeks with no lights whatsoever.
