  1. Yes, lol,,, not going to mention the Airline because theres always good and bad press about it and dont want to get into the middle of online debates on the company I work for, but we are a major player in the field and fly 10's of million passengers every year.
  2. Bought my last two scoobys there, my old 2003 WRX and my current STI Belive its Bob the main man there, I am terrable with names, hes a good guy, calls a spade a spade, from my experiance they only have good quality cars there, no nails. he gave me two vary fair deals on my Part Exchange's, example last time I took an old XJ6 Jag in there, I had previously gone to Mitsubish about a FQ360 for 26k and they offered me £500 for it, went there for a look at the STI that was a 2006 with 4k on the clock for £21995 and he said the best I can do for you is £18000 and the Jag! lol,,, I nearly ripped his arm off but not before saying throw a BOV and K&N Panel filter in the deal, to which he aggred. not been there for any serviceing but when I bought the WRX he did offer to MOT it for free when it was due, but due to conveniance I never took him up on the offer as I had fitted a full decat at the scooby clinic so just let then sort it out. dont expect to go test piloting though, I hate that and so do dealers with performance cars, but if you settle on a car and put your name to paper to buy he will more than happyily let you go for an extended text drive with him just to make sure the car is as described, which i 99.9% recon it will be I give him the thumbs up,, good luck and take some pics while your there to post, normally some interesting stuff up there.
  3. holy **** nuts thats nice! I tell ya, if it was not for the fact that i wanted a new car with a warranty I would have soooooo gone for an awesome spec classic over the hawkeye, they just look mean!
  4. I have found that if I leave the car running when I fill up which I sometimes do the gauge does not move at all until miles down the road, if i switch the car off to fill it reads full right away on turning the key back on and yes I know I should always switch the car off, but if i can leave the APU on the Boeing 737 running while I fill it with 10tons of fuel I am sure its safe to leave that little 2.5 4pot ticking over.
  5. I have no clue on the quality of fuel but i do belive that if Ferrari are willing to put there name to the fuel there might be something in it, there both 99octane, Duracel make LR6 Battries and so do other compnays but Duracel's are just better all round. could not think of another example.
  6. let me know if you manage to sign into there Vpower part of the site,,, I have not tried for a few weeks after giving us from months of trying.
  7. It’s half a concern, but I do like the car looking and sounding silly, after all I went for the WRC type spoiler! lol,, its looks ridicules, but I like it I am hoping to retire the Scooby to a weekend and days off car shortly anyway, I am due to change my commute very soon and its going to be a 90 mile round trip to work, so looking for a car with super economy to use for work, thinking a C2 Diesel or a older shape vectra on LPG, something with 60+ equivalent MPG, as its less to buy and run a 2nd car for work than to just fuel the Scooby and put 500 unnecessary miles a week on it going up and down the M1 But back to topic, pops and bangs,, can’t wait!
  8. Thats probably it then, i was underthe impression its a software add on but tweaking the fueling makes more sence, I have zero cats anyone done it????
  9. I am taking the STI to have the pops and bangs uploaded to the ECU when I get back to the UK next month when I had the full decat system fitted it created massive pops on letting off the throttle,,, but then i had it remapped and it lost them due to some odd cruise control type thing that backs of the throttle gradualy so i phoned the clinic and they said they can just upload the program,,, sounds simple enough just wondering if anyone else had done it,, and what the result was and what the paid for it thanks
  10. I think with stickers, its a WRX! without the stickers it looks like you have a 2.0GX you wish was a WRX. Just my opinion
  11. Yea, I am going to be Flying the 737 in about 4weeks time, in the simulator every day at the moment, been piloting for 5years now, but every jet has its own "Type Rating" and its time for the 737 baby! 74tons with 54000lb's of thrust! hehe but to be fair the scooby is more seat of your pants than commercial Jets, I do love to fly but for thrills give me the STI and a decent B road anyday of the week.
  12. I am in Haarlem, its about 15miles from Amsterdam, but by the sounds of it you have local knowlage of the area, I am over here for the next 5weeks doing my Rating on the Boeing 737 that thing has 54,000lb's of thrust so I have two powerfull toys out here to play with , I was thinking of heading over to Zandvoort for a blast round the track, you got any info on track days there and cost?? oo p.s. mine is a Blue 2006 STI with Thomas on the rear windows and full tints,, cant miss me, especialy with the stupid WRC spoiler hanging off the back
  13. Took me about 15months to get first reward for some reason? I average about £150 per week on fuel at the moment, more some weeks when I do some commuting to cornwall from sheffield to see family. still trying to get access to the v-power site,, really is not happining.
  14. You will have to be very carefull with the boys at the scooby clinic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been there before, and the main problem is if you ask them to do anything extra on the day,, they will say no problem and do it perfectly! lol,, my credit card hates the place they do all my mods and are fantastic, cant recomend them enough! Just take cash and no credit card or you could be in trouble! lol. I went for an exhaust and ended up with one, a WRC spoiler, a remap and turbo porting! sit in the waiting room and dont be tempted to look what else you can buy! lol
  15. You go and get a regular Drivers Club Card from a Shell garage and everytime you top up you collect points, once you have bought the required ammount to join V-Power you automaticly upgrade and get a nice V-Power card But I have to say there pretty useless doing that as I made enough points in 6weeks to join and it took nearly a year to be upgraded, called and moaned but got the normal useless call centre people that read from a script and get lost if you have something other than what they have in front of them. I had given up on it and one day it just turned up the website is also useless, I registered my new card and it said please wait 48hours before logging in again, left it a week and it said the same, its now been 5months and it still keeps saying please wait 48 hours before logging in! on the Plus side I have so far been sent £80 worth of Agros vouchers which I used to by a couple of PS3 games to waste my free time on,,,,,,I can highly reccomend Call of Duty 4!
  16. Never thought I would say this but my god wish people would leave me alone! Been over in Holland for two weeks now with the Scooby, seems a very rare car out here so far, at first I was enjoying that people were asking me all kinds of questions about the car and its power and all that, but I am finding it a nightmare now everywhere I go someone strikes up a conversation about it, today I got stuck outside in the cold for 15mins talking with a guy about it, and did not want to be rude and leave as I have to go there every day, I am starting to understand how celebrities feel when they just want to go buy a pint of milk! lol Rant over
  17. It really is a lot of fair points, I love rallying and have been to a few stages, and everytime I get all excited about it and then get there and realise to be fair its better on tv with my feet up and the only thing that is cold is my beer!
  18. I would not want to buy from the first guy as he sounds an ass with the no offers dont call to bid bit! its a used car,,, theres always haggleing, you over price to aim to come down for any bits that need putting right you may have missed as we all over look slight things on our cars cos we love them,,, but NO! this is the price or I take it to the grave with me! he needs to calm down! plus that paint looks far too tacky! like he got cheap tub of bright blue paint from netto. just my thoughts.
  19. I have been extra worried about mine at the moment as i am in Holland and so feel a little lost not knowing the areas and having to park the car all day, here for 8weeks too so will be very glad when I get it back to UK soil! on the plus side its much easyier for me to drive down to the Nurburgring at the moment
  20. Have to say I really hate that forum,, everytime I come to this site I look at the number of posts hoping not to see another one, and I know how many of these cars get knicked and I feel like mine has a lottery ticket slapped on it just waiting its turn to be listed there as post number 9 as thats the next unlucky number! just had to voice it.
  21. rich is miles better than lean, more cooling and lubrication, but mapping will free up all those ponys, did mine two weeks ago now running 340bhp and 380lb's torque! its awesome
  22. its probably my fault they are mean towards scooby drivers
  23. I probably do but I have done a very unpractical thing and fitted a false floor and sqrewed a sub box to it, so I cant get at my spare wheel with out a sqrewdriver and the sqrewdriver is under the floor! lol,, catch 22!! all seemed to run ok though, did a max economy test on the way back and got 250miles between fill up, I recon with boring old man carefull driving I recon I could easy get over 300miles out of a tank.
