Checked oil again today and I have used about half a liter in 500miles, booked it in for a service next tuesday, so going to take it steady until then and check the level daily and see what the dealers find out for me.

it annoys **** out of me having to move them from the car,, every night I pull up and think **** it I am going to leave it in, why should I have to move it, its my car I own it, Its my sat nav, i want it where it is,, thats where i use it, the power lead is nicely tucked up behind the dash out the way,,,,, but i get home and take it out every night so some theifing scum does not steal it, annoys **** out of me,, I want to get into my car and not have to stick it back to the glass again, then take off the massive steering lock, and i dont want to have to renew my tracker this year, i want to buy my mum a nice present with the cash instead,, or my sisters kids! but no i have to waste is so some pri** wont get away with my car! mother *************!!!!!!!

There not all mine,, to be fair only the Blue STI is mine, the others belong to my mate I am living with at the moment, he has too much money and gets pissed off at the trade in price of new cars when he fancys something new and so ends up keeping them rather than part exchangeing them in, I get to drive what ever I like which is cool, there is actuly another merc missing, we ran out of parking space on the drive. lol

There we go, a few random pictures, its my mates soon to be track car, its not up and running at the moment, the windows have been taken out and next week we are taking the roof off to replace it with a carbon fibre roof to save some weight and put in lexan windows, its running a 2.3 stroker engine with methanol injection and NOS fireing on the FMIC, as well as a few other tricks, and the biggest cams I have ever seen, once all tuned up its expected to be around 550bhp. good fun to drive but scary as hell! I drove it from Sheffield to Hull a couple of months ago and its just got far too much power to use, launching it is something else, you can just rev upto 7000rpm and drop the clutch, dont know what 0-60 is doing that but i recon 3 - 3.5 seconds is about right, letting off the revs it sounds like a building is falling down beside you when it dumps everything. hopefully post up a track day sometime this summer when we will be running it.

Not made my mind up on the oil leak yet, none lost last three days so monitering carfully, but did want a car day so today been adding some flaps to the scooby and there is another scooby in the list of availible toys to use now too! really do have a stack of decent cars at my disposal. Shame about the Vauxhall creeping in there! lol

does look a nice car now i am used to it and i am sure the performance is awesome,,, i just want a 4 door saloon car, i went off hatch's when i was 21 and sold my 6x9 speakers. looks well though.

Just checked the oil again today after doing the 350mile round trip to london, done a total of 400miles since filling the oil back up and it was today just below the low level on the stick again! so burnt about a liter of oil in 400miles, had a look round the engine bay and its dry as a bone in there, no signs of oil on the underside either! it really does seem its been used by the engine as i cant see where else its possibly going to get its way out??? any thoughts before I ring the dealers tomorrow???

yep yep the pics were taken by my passenger, i made a point of this to them as it would be daft of me to take them one handed while driving, it really is common sence that if he drove at say 60miles per hour people would creep past at 70 and get on there way and not bunch up behind causeing problems, had this once before when a cop car was on the inside doing 70mph and people were all buched up,, i desided to go past him at 75ish out the way, if i had got a tug i would have told him what a tit he was,, but he let me on my way,,,, but in the outside lane no way i was undertaking, bad move all round

Drove to London and back today and on the way down there was an absolute tit sat in the outside lane for a good 10mins doing right on 70mph and not moving over! there was no aparent reason for this and he only came back over to the inside around junction 3 to exit left on his way, now I am no expert, but the fact that every other car sat behind him got all bunched up together not wanting to go round for fear of a telling off, so everyone sat dangerously close instead of doing maybe a couple of miles an hour more and haveing nice safe spaceing between each other. just had to post a pic cos it got me really mad that he was so useless in thinking about road safty. it was clearly not a rolling road block either, just 4 cops in there sat chilling on there way.

ahh,, really, so whats the problem with just having the top then? i thought they were pretty good having a big scoop to pull air onto it, obviously one sat facing the elements will be better but i was under the impression you only need that if your running silly power? my little puppy is only a modest 340bhp

No signs of a leak at all, engine is pretty clean, just normal muck you would expect, just filled it with Mobile 1 5/30w oil and it took 3 liters to get it back to the required level! considering the book says 4 liters from empty thats pretty scary. what is TMIC?

Did a 600mile round trip yesterday and when i got back i heard the engine rattle like a bag of bones again, straight away knew it was low on oil as it did it before, checked the dip stick and its totaly dry! I last filled the car with oil only 1500miles ago! and the warning light on the dash has never ever come on to warn me! is this normal or just my car? seems to be burning too much oil to me, i guess this could be due to doing a lot of high speed motorway driving only but still seems a bit excessive

maybe a stick on fog light too and the burble has a jap sound to its accent

Filling the van will build points and points make prizes, you just get double points with V-Power, not sure about the mucky oil stuff though, I hear it is good for Diesal cars, high powered Audi turbo ones etc,,, not sure about work horses if you would see a difference though. but you will def get more points so collect away, I just got another couple of cash vouchers for Agros last week, thats £60 in total I think so far, so its def worth collecting rather than giving it all back.

I put a bid in at £1000, instantly outbid! lol

What figures you useing there? 1L to do 8miles works out at 36.3mpg! i could not get that in mine with the engine switched off! at best if I run only on the motorway at 60mph touching the throttle like it was wired to a bomb i might just scrape 30mpg, but on average with normal motorway driving around the limit I get 25mpg at best

How is this affecting the ride?? I have considered doing mine but I use it as my daily driver still and dont want a sore back on long runs, also do you have any before and after pics to post? thanks.

I had my set of Original 205 GTI 1.9 Alloys refurbed with a place called metal magic or something in Barnsley, cost £142 including vat to have all 4 sand blasted and done properly, I took them in with no tyres on for better finish and when they came back i swear you would not know they had not just come off the shelf in the factory! 100% awesome.

I guess it is getting expencive on those roads, i still really really cant understand why its just not added to fuel and scrap the whole road tax system? its beyond basic sense to do something so simple

A rare sighting day, did not even realise the EVO X was out yet! Have to say, the Evo X is awesome, was in White and looked every bit as good as the pics,,, as for the scooby, was in blue and I just thought O Dear!,,, maybe it will grow on me, its probably because I like 4 door rapid cars and not hot hatch's, so dont think it will ever be my cuppa,,, but I am def going to try to let Mitsu take out the X for a test spin with Credit Card in hand.

2nd that,,,, is road tax going up a lot for us or is that just on new cars that guzzle gas?? also are we classed as a 4x4 or still just a car??? I personaly think unless it gets passed £365 a year whats to worry about? quid a day to use 1000's of miles of roads is not bad,,, but really really just scrap road tax and shove it on fuel,, the more you burn the more you pay,,, and noone can avoid it,, very simple!

I notice after about 7-10 miles the needle is off the top and falling, max mileage is 300 miles to a tank if i drive like miss daisy is in the back on 100% motorway normal (me) driving style i get the light on after 160 miles average taking it easy to work covering maily motorways i get 220 miles max going nuts like its my last day with the STI the light comes on at 90 miles!
