  1. would love to take those tyres off your hands, dont want to be rude on the price offer though, where are you at as i am in sheffield and would have to collect, pm me a price and i can just say yes or no, wheels would be a plus but i dont really need them and could put the money into other toys thanks
  2. some good points about they dont last long and are crap in the wet, but thats exactly why i want them again, short life means soft rubber with tons of grip, and there awesome in the dry when I like to drive fast, wet weather is best to stay in doors. thanks for the info, I will be ordering a new set of shoes for her this week now.
  3. Well I took the Scoob out for a test run on the Snake Pass today to see if I could tell any difference using different settings on the DCCD I did notice it once going round a hard right hand corner, the car seemed to push me round from the back superbley, I thought I was in Auto but as I glanced down it was set at the bottom green dot! I really did notice a difference in the way it went round. this was dry tarmac at slow tight corner speed for reference.
  4. I am trying to find out the exact model of Bridgestone Potenza Tyres come on the STI 06- model Mine are due replacing and it seems theres about 12 different types, was hoping to find a decent price matching place online. Thanks to anyone that can help
  5. Does anyone with the DCCD (Driver Controled Centre Diff) actuly use it for anything apart from turning it all the way back when parking and doing 3point turns? I now and again flick it to the rear for playing on the odd roundabout, but its got like 7 settings or something, I feel I am not getting use for a expencive bit of kit that I paid for, to be fair I am not even sure exactly what it does. anyone know how much power movement there is or what it does fully?
  6. This is a follow up to a post someone put a week or two ago about puting new speakers in the scooby, mine got fitted today by the boys at Source Sounds in Chapeltown Sheffield, and my god am I impressed, I have a top line amp in the boot running them and the new 12" sub in the boot, its all quick relese too so I can take it out on a night which is good. here are before and after pics of the speakers, I cant belive how bad the originals are!! Now for the Good stuff!!! and just so people can spot me to avoid as I know the scoobynet people see me as a health hazard this is to help you guys
  7. Still in shock to this, My thought are with McRae's and the other familys today. Truly a sad day.
  8. they come with a slim double sided foam that sits into a recess in the base of them so they sit pretty much flush to the roof, they seem to be on really strongly too, think just avoid heavy jet washing and they should be no problem at all. heres the link if your interested, the guy sells them all the time http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...N:IT&ih=001
  9. Bought these on ebay after seeing sim ones on the latest evo's and thought they looked good, for ref the total cost was £24.99 for the items shipped from ebay £10.99 for colour matched spray paint at halfords £8.99 for laquer from halfords
  10. cant take piccys,, no idea where the engine mounts are? its at the dealers now, its def a broken engine mount, supprised there not in stock!, getting it back wednesday so having to get my thrills on the Ninja for a couple of days.
  11. Seems I have a broken Engine mount on my hawkeye, gearstick started moving a bit much, lifted the bonnet to see if as I set off and the engine tried to escape! has anyone else had this problem??? are there and stronger mounts or will that just cause other things to break instead?? Thankfully its got a Warranty so should be no problem to fix
  12. I have just ordered some for my Hawkeye, Aparently its difficult to upgrade slightly because the doors dont have much room for decent magnets that make the speakers have power, so I went for some Focal Slims that came it at around £230 a pair! they would run find off a decent head unit but I bumped up the power by getting a top line Amp in there too. They get fitted in a week, I am assured by my stereo shop that I have been useing for 12years now that they will sound the nuts! I am holding off on the idea of a sub also due to spireling costs, but it will be all set up to just add one in plug & play at a later date if I like because I went for a 4chanel amp. for note the next cheapest speakers for the car were standard, there are not many that fit so you have to just go for the best,, but why settle for anything less!
  13. I bought one too a few years ago, it lasted about 3mins, now got a proper big fu((off one from ebay, its awesome, you have to know what your doing or could take it too bare metal. but boy does it get results, even on 100% flat paint it brings back a showroom shine, think it cost me about £30ish too with a free bottle of buffing compound.
  14. yea,,, find a sidc member with a spare garage space and get them to drop you off at the thing,,, london and safe! lol,,, dont think so
  15. Replace the original fliter with a K&N Panel filter, rip off the full exhaust system and replace with a 3" Decat Stainless system and you will free up about 25-30bhp and the car will be much more responcive. after that re-mapping and then you can go on to throw thousends at it, there really is no limit to mod'ing the engine, just a limit to your bank balance, but those things first will bring the car to life. what area do you live?
  16. Hi and welcome to the forum I am 6'1" with size 12's and my first WRX was the 2003 blobeye but I dont think internaly there is any difference to the 2002 bug eye but I am not certain having never driven one, I found it no problem at all to drive, it fact if was very easy, the clutch is heavyier but you only relly notice when you get back into a normal car and think my god thats light, othere than that it felt normal to me the seats are better as there slight buckets and just hug you in place nicely rather than normal cars where you fall out if ever going round hard corners at any speed, I used to decribe it as a Vectra with a Hard on to drive in that its very civalized and comfy to potter about in, but if you fancy hitting the loud pedel it turns into a monster on the road that will take on 95% of whats out there and win. fuel consumption was about 25mpg for me driving steady and 18mpg driving hard, this may increase with a better driver as i do like the loud pedel!. I cant say enough how good these cars are, I had my WRX for 9months, sold it to buy something different, spent 2months test driving everything i could think of and ended up back in a 06 STI and am loving every min of it so heres my advice, BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY!
  17. it was at Bowlers, Police have still not got back to me 5 4days later to tell me if there was cctv there or not? by the time they get round to it if there is the tapes will probably have been re-used. I break laws a lot, traffic ones mainly, nealry always get caught,, the ammount of times people have done stuff like this or steal motorbikes from me and all sorts, never once has anything come of phoneing the police! NOT ONCE!!!!!!! you may notice in my other treads that I am happy to admit I speed from time to time and break laws like not stopping to turn at red lights and things if safe to do so,,,, I really have lost all faith in this counrty hence why i spend more than 50% over seas now. the british legal system is a big F'ing joke and I go out of my way now not to adide by it because its sq***ing me over every time in many different departments as is this goverments useless attempt at running the country. RANT OVER................
