My dad is heading over to manchester for the night from Sheffield so decided to lend him my 2.5 340bhp STI to use instead of his 1.0 J plate Polo! lol Fingers crossed it comes back looking like it did leaving. in fairness he is a retired traffic cop that used to drive the Cossys when they had them, but that was the sierra and many many moons ago! fingers crossed

Got it from the Scooby Clinic, think it was £395 or £495 + vat painted and fitted, very good quality,,, third brake light in there too.

Finaly got a chance to give her a good clean after getting back to the UK last week, going to feel so much better to drive now.

I am wanting to add a rally light pod to the front of my 06STI and have been looking at some options on ebay, I dont really want the ones designed for the STI that are lower in the middle to allow airflow not to be blocked into the bonnet vent for the intercooler as I prefer the look of the standard ones but I am wondering if this will make a big difference to the performance or not?

My Speedo goes upto 160, had it past that and my GPS max speed recorder sat at 159mph nice but i was gutted it did not quite make the six

I am finding that if I want to do launch's in the car the clutch really really smells after which can only mean I am taking lots of life of it, has anyone put in any uprated clutchs? not talking these silly ones that are an on/off switch, still want the car to be driveable, but handle more hammer on tracks and stuff like that??????

I cant see whats wrong with all this???? he got his listing wrong, informed you about it before you paid so you lost nothing and he lose's out his listing and final value fee. am I missing something here??

I just think with the peaked style nose on the 2006 STI it spoils the look of the car, I forgot to put it on for about a month before and got zero hassle for it, even got pulled on a night for a spot check and they never even noticed it was missing, and they had spun round to pul me,,I guess its one of those things that if its not there you dont notice anything wrong with it, chances are if I had the small plate on I would have got a ticket for it because you see its the wrong size,,, no plate at al the human mind does not twig.

2006 2.5 STI , Full Decat and Remap putting out 340bhp and 380ft lb's with a Silly WRC Spoiler to keep me pinned to the Tarmac, K&N Panel Filter, Well Lane Turbo Dump Valve and thats about it. Med tints on all Glass, Kenwood Double din DVD unit, awesome speaker upgrade and 12" Sub with Amp, intergrated Kenwood bluetooth touch screen phone kit and Direct Video Ipod hook up! Flush Mounted Bonnet clips, Thomas and union Jack on Rear pass windows and Jonny Lee in pink on front doors under STI and that about tops it off I think lol,, got spare time tonight so listed the lot. o and my front number plate might be missing on that pic,,, got a really silly small one anyway that velcro's on. like to take it off when parked at home

Had a play tonight on the way back from Amsterdam with a big Beemer,, we both gunned it off the lights at what I suppose is a Dual Carrage way but looks more like a motorway/drag strip (concreate walls both sides) , dont normaly red line the car but my god! just me onboard and zero fuel (light blinking) it took off like a rocket ship, the BMW gave it his all, but he may as well have selected reverse. was a good sprint upto the speed limit!,,,, to be fair dont even know what that is over here but must be less that what I do on my commute to work as I have been flashed 5 times that I know of on the same speed camera. not sure how that will work on UK plates but sure they will try to fine me somehow.

sounds a good price to pay for one, but really will depend on miles on clock, number of owners and general condition.

very normal,,, i can hear mine whine now and flutter when letting off the revs,, as for the pops i lost the big ones i got after the remap as i did the decat a couple of days before the map,, so going back to have pops and bangs added as i want it to sound like a war zone!

Not thinking about selling my car but do like to keep upto date on what its worth should I run into any financial problems having a look tonight at there is a huge difference in price for little change,,, I have a 2006 06 STI Type UK with nearly 12k on the clock in Mica Blue,, some mods to make 340bhp. the prices on Auto trader start at £17,000 all the way upto £21,995 for what I can tell is basicly the same car, so what makes someone spend the £21,995 when they can spend £17k???? so what is my car really worth in gold coins should I sell it to Joe Blogs tomorrow?

Was looking at paying the due's for membership on this site as its one of my open tabs when ever online and I use it a bit for information and general web surfing to pass some free time, had a look round the site and cant seem to find a list of membership benifits? what do I get for joining then that I dont get already?

lol,,, no leave them too it,, I know the guy who owns the one in Sheffield near where i lived up to a few weeks ago and know there not all paying tax and stuff correctly first hand, but there doing a job many of us dont want to do for a service we want, so I personally am not going to worry that the rules are bent or broken a bit, maybe the wrong attitiude but I am busy with my own stuff to worry about them, and they do a good job on my car anyway so I am happy.

Neglected the scoob the last 6 weeks over here in Holland as they dont seem to have illigal immigrants at old petrol stations to give a quick wash and vac, so made the effort today to go to a jet wash centre and spent a few hours cleaning, its sad but its the most fun I have had in weeks! lol
