enjoyable read and pics shaun, maybe see you next time you venture on to our shores
good luck in whatever you do

cheers guys
myself and jac do need a bit of support ,
jimser dont want to start a argument about scoobs verses evos but haveing had a few of both a standard evo has it as a track car over the scoob but once both are modded they are about the same .
as for my evo 4 its got a bog standard engine only running 0.6 bar of boost , only mods are a air filter , a backbox only as car is still running cats in exhaust and tein suspension all the rest is standard but as i popped clutch on last run you lot might see the scoob out at doune this weekend as its looking like i cant get anyone to fit a new clutch by sunday
cheers Don
can't argue with that don,is it the fact that you can't source a clutch for next week or that you can't get someone
to fit one?
-
£100... will i pay you cash on collection or paypal
£100+your ugly bug and you've got a deal
-
All events can be entered on an ad-hoc basis. In the central belt you will get an entry, some of the venues surrounding Aberdeen you may struggle.
thanks john, will see how the car fairs when i get.would be lowlands event only i'd be looking at anyway
-
AFAIK you can still enter single venues for some fun time
didn't realise that, asked someone today but was told that it was too late
-
good day today, lots of different variants belting round the track.everything from rover 214's to mk1 escorts
to single seaters.can certainly see the attraction of entering and well if the entry
date came a couple of weeks later i'd maybe have a go myself, always next year though.
not many cars can beat john's time round there and the ones that can are running mental power /weight.
well done to jac on his first outing and also don in the evo,if thats a standard evo IV then i'm not sure why we're all buying scoobs
-
good progress john, how you getting on with the loom?
-
looks not bad but as craig says my money is spent(almost) and as dunk has pointed out needs gearbox plus
would need a front mount etc.
-
where do you top up the oil john?lol
-
Really cant see these fitting. I have 17X8's with 235 tyres with rolled arches and I have issues
cheers arch,i take it 17x7.5 with 225's is about max for a classic?
-
Thats exactly what I did with mine (running 225's)
same size/offset?
-
Get a big rubber mallet and some black nasty tape and MAKE them fit!!
Show them who the daddy is!!
a wish i could mate,in fact i feel like buying another newage just so i can fit these wheels
-
some pics of them
-
well no chance of these fitting on a standard classic so what is a set of these wheels worth?
-
whats wrong with the wheels on your new car jim
cheers frank, doesn't look good.probably have to sell them
wheels on the new car are fine gareth just don't see the point of having the
rays sitting about unused
-
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html - Give that a hurl Jim
cheers stephen, just wondered what width classics run on 17's.8.5 inch equates to
215.89 mm so would need to be 225 minimum
