What are you doing over there and do you have your Scoob with you? I doubt it right enough given how many miles you got without the light coming on.
yea he has the scoob but he drives like a big girls blouse anyway hence the mpg lol
hurry home big man its time to get my engine out again!.....not
remember the vino me grande hombre

I can PM you a mobile number if you want? and I THINK his company is SC Car Imports.
Gus

I am thinking of (and trying to justify the cost of) my next engine mods and was wondering if anyone has an opinion ( ) on the following;
I currently have a MY01 WRX which has the following done-
Full decat 3" stainless Hayward and Scott turbo back exhaust
Intercooler y peice
NGK 7's
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Free flow filter
HKS SSBOV
Andy Forrest remap
What I want to do to it is-
1) TD05 18G turbo unit
2) Pink 550cc Injectors
3) Manifolds and de-cat up-pipe
4) Dei exhaust lagging
5) Another Ecutek re-map
What type of power gains am I likely to see from these new bits and is anyone on here running a similar sort of setup? I am just wondering if the increase in power/drivability justify the cost of the upgrades (1.5 - 2 grand )
The car isn't my daily driver at the moment so I just really use it for fun.....
would upgrade to an sti intercooler too mate, porting your own headers would be fine for that level of
power.gains depend on what your running at the moment?on road fuel you would probably get 340/350bhp.add 10%methanol and 370ish bhp.if its not a daily driver then methanol is definately worth considering!
i ran much the same but with a vf34 and fmic-340bhp/338lb ft and with methanol 370bhp/348lb/ft

black wheels ordered today, the rays will be on for the serious stuff anyway so no big deal
thanks for the input everyone
-
White for me Jim
But Lou said black, looks like blacks ahead !
cheers craig,i thought lou would like the black ooooer
Defo the black with the red rim.I have just recently ordered a set of 18" black alloys with a blue rim for my car. Should be ready for fitting a week on Saturday. I can't wait, will post pics once fitted.
yea mate i looked at the team dynamics too, always liked them but got these cheaper
-
Jim whit company was it? might need to tery that myself
rarerims gus,the wheels are new out for subaru fitment and i think they expected
a lot of interest lol ach well i'm not complaining.
-
Jim its got to be black or bronze.
But i dig it just the way it is
keeping the wheels that are on it john
just want another set for pottering about and put some sticky tyres on the rays
black for me too Jim.and how do you "unexpectedly win" something from ebay?
put in bid at starting price but no-one else bid, expected them to go for a bit more than i paid
-
dunno about you but im swaying towards the black ones
yip black looks favourite but i think i'll leave the final decision until after my nightly
wine tasting

I was always taught to say please when asking a favour
sorry neil my manners must have momentarily deserted me
thank you
excellent job neil, jimser you have a tough choice to make here, both look good, i even think the bronze would look good tooyea i like both too.bronze probably would look good but 1 set of bronze is enough(rays)
-
unexpectedly won a set of rota gtr's on ebay and need to decide what colour to go for.
choice is black with red rim.white, bronze or silver.
bronze and silver are out the window so can anyone photoshop the black, white on to my car?
-
Hopefully it's better than the baffle plate, you can get a dry sump system at the mo, rcms will sort you out.
Johnny
whats wrong with the baffle plate johny?
-
Sorry pal, didn't mean to ignore ye
Things are fine bud, now working for Honda. So at least I've stayed japanese.
See you've picked up no10 scoob now. Whit a man. This one be visiting a local track???
Will try and get down to a meet sometime soon, will bring the bike.
Russ
sorry to hear you've left the subaru fold so to speak russ, the most decent subaru employee
i've ever dealt with by far
-
Much the same as yourself, I've done the center pipe & back box, still to do the down pipe then anti-lift kit & drop links, front & rear strut braces & K-sport front brake upgrade, i'll see how it handles after that.
I don't know what injectors are in the 270 once Duncan finds out it might be new injectors & re-map or turbo as well not sure how much power you can push with top mounted intercooler but woul be happy with 350 if I can get it. Every time I mention Hypertech the missis gets Hyper
wouldnt worry too much about the top mount intercooler,i'm running near 500bhp on fuel mix and 420ish bhp on road fuel.as long as its on the move it will be fine.

dj
welcome mate
car will be a 9.dccd,5x114.5 pcd wheels and rear arch mouldings to name a few differences
-
Aye, its just a backbox. Was just wondering if they'll touch it if its not supplied by them....Would do it myself, if I had the tools handy.
most quick fits wont touch parts not supplied by them.better off trying small local garages
or as already suggested fit it yourself
-
very shiny indeed gus
surely it must be about time you changed it?lol
