  1. Thanks mate :) Jimser might have a solution to the airbag issue since he fitted a steering wheel... that's if imported cars have airbags, do they?

my car doesnt have airbags as standard john, had the same issue as your having with my wrx when i put spec c seats in it though, the wrx has airbags in the standard seats ;)

  2. PMSL... a 2.8 6cyl petrol BMW is hardly a 'wee runaround' Jim. :driving::banana2:

    Cheers,

    Grant

yea fair enough not a cheap(to run) car but in my defence i do need a car with a fairly large boot for

my work tools etc and with it brings a bigger car with more weight so hence need a larger engine to

keep it on the move lol.i also have a 318 is does that count as a runaround?

  3. Have to agree here too Stephen, you've gone quite far already with the car and it owes you nothing which is not too

far away fom what you'll get offered for it too. Bench it and get a cheap to buy/run everyday car and keep tweaking the WRX at your leisure.

I have a small 1.6 HDI Citroen as my everyday car and it makes a lot of sense financially. Also gives you a new appreciation

of the Scoob when you do drive it.

    Just my 2p worth mate,

    Kevan

have to agree big chap, keep the scooby as a toy and get a runaround.ive got a 328i bmw that i use for work and whenever the scoob does get used/abused its always a pleasure

  4. when i bought the spec c there was only one company that would insure it(didnt tell them that at the time ),due to it being an import, heavily modified and the fact that i had just written off another scoob and that was keith michaels and got a good price :icon_pray:.make sure you speak to gary molson for your quote and no one else though!

  5. i had a beatrush 1 on my car when i got it and have kept it on

    heres the speal-

•Air turbulence is significantly reduced, producing a more stable ride at higher speeds and increasing down force by creating higher suction pressures between the panel and road.

•Engine temperatures are reduced and stabilized by removing heat from the engine compartment with specialized slits made to draw out hot air while the vehicle is in motion. This is successfully achieved during the creation of down force, as this negative pressure sucks out the heat and is then swooped out by colder air moving underneath.

•Provides greater protection under the engine than stock plastic panels during heavy track or circuit racing competitions.

•Track tested & developed by Beatrush, Japan.

yea i know smells of $hite but a lot easier than the standard 1 to remove/re fit

  8. Outstanding result in the face of difficulties with heads lifting today at the Final round of Time attack at Snetterton, netting 2nd in Club Class !!

Believe me, having witnessed the oposition first hand the Driver and Lateral Car were outstanding.

Andy couldn't spell Snetterton before this weekend never mind driving it !!!!

What a circuit !! Corum is the longest/fastest bend I've ever seen and the two straights are 170mph

    well done andy

and mark too i suppose

  9. I might take a wee tour up mid morning to spectate... wont be racing the Impreza as just been given a deposit on it, so it's likely to be tucked up in the garage til its collected now. But keen to see your BuggyRA in action on the strip.

    Cheers,

    Grant

hope all goes well with the deal on the scoob then mate.whats next, classic toy?

hopefully the temps are a bit cooler tomorrow and i can get a decent time, seems to be the only drawback of still running the top mount is the temps/queues at crail in the summer,on the road its never an issue <_<

  10. I'm right-handed and the ball goes up the middle the goes well right. I have to set up left of target which is ok, unless I hit it straight! ARGH!

setting up left of target is no good john(long term)

stand square to the target flatten your swing slightly and release the wrists when striking the ball

most amateur golfers dont release their wrists hence most play with a slice/fade

    jimsers golf lessons £10 a pop :icon_butt:

  11. what particular clutch is it your looking at?

been following the posts/threads on s/net regarding just clutches and it looks like they are selling japanese market clutches which seem to be unknown to the uk/usa market
