  1. Hi Jim,

Your car is less than 10 years old and so should have gone through an e-SVA test, meaning it has to conform to a model report. If it was done this way, i.e. correctly, you'd be paying more than £185 a year!? Who imported it and how/where did he get it registered/tested?

As for the OP, to confirm, it is the year of registration in the UK that counts. My importer managed to put my car through with the date registered as the Japanese registration date, as such, this year I was only £210. Bit dodgy I think, but I'm not complaining.

    Cheers,

    Paul

yea mate car was sva'd etc correctly but there is no co2 number on the v5,seems to be quite common

    with imports.

  2. Hypertech take that much because they replace all the pullies and the tensioner, not because they are overpriced. Duncan just prefers to do a good job with no chance of comeback.

how much is that in labour then £200?

not fitted a timing belt yet but wouldnt think twice about doing it.as for the clutch then if you dont have access to

an engine lift then gearbox out it is,allow 8 hours first time but maybe quicker depending on luck

  3. cheers jim, that sounds just right, mines tailing off just over 6000rpm and i like my revs! what made you go for the t ather than the h?

was looking for 500 bhp on fuel mix and knew the t was capable.only 200-300rpm later spool than the h.

1.5 bar on a t will give around 400 bhp,not sure how much boost required for the same power on an h(1.65ish?).that is assuming v power only

  4. im using an md321t on my 2.0l

    1 bar @3000rpm

    1.6 bar @3500rpm(on v-power)

    1.9 bar @3600rpm(on methanol,toluene mix)

figures are not exact but should give you a rough idea

on mine the md holds full boost up to 8000rpm

    jim
