thefastone replied to ally-b's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Thats great, really it is, it certainly makes being involved in a smalllest way worthwhile like... [Y] And you know, the boot of me car is STILL a mess with tinsel and associated tat... Must get round to cleaning it out... -
hey wait a minute... Wasn't that one of the cars that met us on the road north when we were out on our first inversneckie meet?
-
Awwww.... Craig, You say the nicest things.... [:'(][}] Still an ugly car... (for all its good points) []

Got a parking ticket for the Scoob in Edinburgh the other week, so I wrote them a letter... Got one back this morning... It read... DALE - ONE EDINBURGH CITY COUNCIL - NIL I think you'll find that Dale wins again... Key Phrases I like from that letter include - "However, the photographs - taken by the parking attendant at the time - shows that the legend at the above location is worn and faded." and My personal favorite, "In view of the circumstances of the case, as stated above, the parking ticket has been withdrawn and cancelled on this occasion."

Winner! How about the other dates this year, I seem to remember something about them before now, have you actually posted anything about it yet? just out of curiosity like...
-
that always make me giggle, when you see someone being a muppet about getting past you dangerously, and speeding off into the sunset, only for you to meet them at EVERY SET OF TRAFFIC LIGHTS for miles.... [] just a little something to make you feel that little bit better about yourself... Oh and John, Yeah, its something for that to be probably the first time someone has mentioned something with so much sense, yet, it prolly never came to anyones minds before now, (mine included...) [Y][H]

Ive not really been about for a while like, and have been dead busy, so I have probably missed it, but do we know all of the dates for knockhill this year? also, I take it that the members tickets have sold out already for the march trackday?
-
now thats something, ive never trusted those car parks, not a jot, so that shoud indeed be interesting....
-
I tried tescos finest last time I was down in glasgow, and I can say that I thought much of it like, The car didn;t really seem just quite as responsive as it does on v-p, so dont think I'll be using it again like unless I'm desperate... just my tuppence worth...
-
Oh and IMHO having kids in the car shoudln;t have any bearing to how you drive around other traffic, I always stop and think about those little signs than people have in the back of their windscreens, baby on board - like I should treat them any different from any other car on the road, well I personally dont. The way I see it you shoud really treat every car the same, and give every one the same space and courtsey, also, Ive found that in a lot of cases, those people do tend to be, in my experience, some of the most careless drivers on the road, not watching where they are going, taking unnessicary risks, speeding more than the conditions should allow.... make you think like...

yeah, I had a thing a while back with some b3ll3nd in a big roller door transit truck/van thingy, coz I wouldn;t tailgate the cars in front of me and he was tailgateing me, I did the good thing and backed off the throttle, not a lot, but enough to increase the gap to the traffic in front... he never backed off, so i tried tapping my break pedal, just enough to flash my break lights, nothing, so i stamped on my break pedal. not hard, as he was really up there like, that just made him angry. road rage from him ensued, including rude jestures, dangerous driving on the approach to a small ish roundabout, over taking a couple of cars where he shouldn't have, then when I got past all the cars he over took in a harry and never made it past any more, as we just made it onto a dual carridge way, I could pick up speed a little, he saw me coming and swerved accross the road, so as not to let me past, he threw rubbish out the window, to try and hit/scare me or somthing, and then at the next roundabout, he went into the other lane again as there was other traffic, so he could get to the front, and then as he was waiting for a gap, was hanging out of his window, shouting abuse at me calling me all the w4nkers under the sun, I couldn;t belive it... after that I managed to just zip past him, peeping my horn and flicking the bird, he tried to speed up, but he was a fanny, and was driving a van? I'm sorry? you want to what? race a scooby? Looser! Took his number plate, called the fuzz, (not a gesture I take lightly You'll uderstand) and you know what they said? oh but he might come back and say that it was you that did somehting to him, and you could end up with a record.... I mean.... WTF!?!? thats the polis for you, good for bo-diddly.... i thank you... Rant over....

thefastone replied to mctwistuk's topic in Scottish Scoobies

Yesh I think that I have to agree with Del there, Ive seen the pics of the unit when defi were still doing them, not long ago either, and that was my major bugbear with the units, they are just so untidy, and the top of my dash is cluttered enough with me snooper that I would just go spare mental with that there... its a cracking idea, but I guess thats why they dont make them anymores... most people I should imagine would think along simelar lines...

On TV this Sunday Morning (21st) ASBO Scooby In Dundee
thefastone replied to ~ ~ Cal ~~'s topic in Scottish Scoobies
Well as it happens Stephen, I saw in aberdeen this afternoon, another car, with the simelar type wing... silver blobeye... not seen it about before tho... -
Personally, I use Autoglass, down by Morrison's on King St... Never had any problems with them, and they would always make a point of telling me of any possible problems, which was nice considering the corrosion that I had on the roof of the Shed™, they always made a point of saying "look, it might not seal properly" Never had a problem, but the workmanship I thought was fine also... Ive never really heard many nice things said about RAC windscreens... [:|] And I hope you get it sorted mate, It would be a real shame for all your efforts getting the car sprayed for them to mess it up! [:^)]

What I got for Xmas (with nice shiny pics :) :) )
thefastone replied to peter_reid's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Dude, thats a different car, surely, Looks pretty awsome mate! -
you see this is the problem with Microsoft... people are lazy, it would take a small effort to move away from Microsoft and the saftey of what they know even though windoze is eternally flawed, because they hold so much of the market share, they are hard to get away from, personally I wished that I moved onto Linux when I upgraded my lappy, but then you need to go through all the rigmorale of getting the emulators to work to run the various programs that mostly all run on win-doze... might have my linux project later in the year...
