  1. I have to say, that I've driven a leggy in the past, not a diesel one, but it was good none the less... and surprisingly well planted on the road... I liked it.
  2. You have 3 months to do it, but I found that I did it in 2... I think as soon as you qualify, they just send it out...
  3. I do think that it poses the question of how he gets back down... Base Jumping, really does sound like the best method, just like saluting, long way up, Short way down... I have to say, that I'm sitting in my comfy armchair, and my legs are wobbly just watching the picture... Gives me the shivers...
  4. Holy crap! Mate I really hope that your wife is OK, and I'm glad to hear that you and your kids are! Crap about the car though, and I hope that they nail the farmer to the wall, it was serious enough this time, but it could very easily have been fatal... Hope you get into another scooby soon mate.
  5. I know a few folk who can vouch for his gear! I believe that he is still a member here I think...? Although I could be wrong, but he is one of us, and the quality of his stuff is second to none, as he really is a perfectionist... Get what you pay for in most cases... And if you are trying to scrimp on stuff like Fuel rails, then I suggest that you take a look around the forum, for the cars that have randomly caught fire recently... they were done to a very good spec, but just goes to show what can go wrong, I personally would be wanting to get the best quality product to hope that kind of thing could never happen... Edit to add: I@m not trying to scaremonger there by the way, but just food for thought... We were all gutted when those cars caught...
  6. hahahahaha!!!! It was only a matter of time before the fun began!!!
  7. I'm still waiting for that too Iain, but then I'm also waiting to be promoted back to RO again too...
  8. Heard just after it happened. Just after I decided not to travel for the last 2 stages. Gutted.
  9. lol All I can say is WOW... That is all.
  10. Here is your pics... , Just for your info mate, if you want to post pics here, the board doesn't accept that kind of code, so to convert it, you need to copy that code into the following website and click "Convert" http://www.seabreezecomputers.com/html2bbcode/ Hope that helps mate.
  11. 9 Years....? Really...? I still remember watching it live in the crew room on the Squadron... We were due to Fly out to Thumrait in Oman for a major Military exercise only a week or 2 later. It was a pretty tense time for us as we waited to find out whether we were going Bombing for real... You know that after 9 years it can still be this fresh in your mind, you know that you are never going to forget it...
  12. Ha! No, it's in the part of Britain that you have to fly 16hours to get to... No way Neil, that's not your wee one? Growing REALLY fast if it is!
  13. Holy ****, the week course was only something like 450-500!!!! and that was guaranteed pass!!!! I know this is going back a few years... but seriously a ****ING GRAND???????
  14. Of, forgot to add, that I also the the 5 days course, and I really do think that it's the best way to do it, because you are getting plenty of practice, and it's constant, which means that you are not getting a chance to forget things between lessons, and everything is staying very fresh in your mind as you go...
  15. Cool, but what was it? What Colour? Was it an Type-R? Type-RA? Does it have distinctive wheels, bodykit or spec? I'm trying to recoil if I have seen a Sunstrip like that...
  16. Might also help to point out a few other details about it, like where you got it for a starter... Some people won't recognize a car from the Reg number... And I find it amusing that you only found the sticker in the window as you was washing it... That amuses me, was the car THAT dirty?
  17. WOW I'd be snapping up that Fozzy in a second... I wonder why it's so cheap though...
  18. I'm another one that used to Run an NC30, Amazing Bike, and could ride circles around any 600 that I went out with... Untill we went in a straight line... I then had my CBR6, and I loved that bike, only just getting rid of it recently... Only thing is, both I have put down the road, the VFR was a write off, but had sold it on as a project bike before I found that out. The CBR was not so bad, but it sat for a very long time where I couldn't afford to fix it... Shame, but a mate has it now, and it's nearly back on the road now... I do hope to be back on a bike soon, but it's going to be dependent very much on the new house...
  19. I'm sure that's what everyone was complaining about, that they were clunking when they stopped for the lights...
  20. I do see your point there Stephen, but then Harrison Ford's identity was never kept secret as part of the show, and he never had to sign a secrecy contract... The whole point of the character is that no one knows who it is, it's half the fun... I know that it's been "known" for a long time, but It's never actually been confirmed... no matter how many rumours there was...
  21. No, because the whole point is that it is copyrighted to the BBC, its their intellectual property... and they are trying to stop the book... If they wanted that book to come out, I'm sure that they would have released it themselves...
  22. As Richie pointed out, there is a big difference between Fast driving/Speeding, and Dangerous Driving...
