Looks a real cracker Paul, Can't wait to see it in person eventually...

Glad to hear that you have decided to keep it, although I know exactly what you mean about not being able to afford to go to stuff, or even just other things getting in the way of you being able to use it, as You said, it owes you nothing, and lets be fair about this, how much would you have gotten for it these days, even with yours being a minter and all... Thing is too, it'll make no sense in buying a fozzy or a wagon, because lets face it, neither of those cars will give you as much fun, and you will still spend just as much on running them, admittedly, if you were looking to ditch a car that would be cheaper, but I'm surprised that you got shot of the other C1...

Ah, spot on Brian, ill bear that in mind. Ta! I do think its ridiculous that they have moved the franchise out of town like that though...

Just a quickie, as I've just found out myself, it would appear that you can no longer get parts from Town and County any more, I've just got off the phone from them, as I was trying to order gaskets for my exhaust, and the guy was telling me that they are not allowed to order from Subaru any more. So the alternatives now are Lawrence of Kemnay out at Inverurie, or you might be able to order from John R Weirs, though I've not phoned them, so I don't know of this is the case or not... I also asked at Lawrence of Kemnay about the SIDC discount, and it appears that they don't do it at the moment, as they are still waiting to be approved by Subaru, which he says should happen possibly in July. I imagine this is when the discount will start...? Anyway, just thought that I give anyone who's interested the heads up.

Just in case you miss it in the General section.

Gawjus mate! Always liked these, though I prefer the Exige to be honest! I could just never justify the money for one, because these things are just sooo expensive to buy!
-
Though, now that we know, I must demand that you post pics here Scott!!!!!!! Get em up!

Christ Dunk, you've not had much Luck with it, but dude, you have spent so much, it has to end sooner or later, and by that I mean the unreliably!!!! Would be a shame to cut it up now...

Hello, em... Meat? Yeah... Welcome to the club chap, I can't offer any advice as to which garage is best, but I can assure you, that there will probably be a bunch of people queuing up to give you their specially selected opinions on both those garages... What I can tell you though, is that every garage have a schedule from which to work, Forged by the Subaru gods themselves. And that tells them that at so many miles, these parts need changed. In fact, it should tell you in the documentation that you got with the car, the hand book etc, there should be a book with the service schedule, telling you exactly what parts need replaced or checked. I'm pretty certain that 30k is not a massive service, the big one if I recoil, is the 80,000? in which the cam belt needs changed, but your a while away from that yet I think... Being down in that part of the world, you have plenty of garages to choose from anyway, including a few that are not Subaru Garages, but have a very good reputation within the community, someone can tell you who is the closest to you, (I still can't remember who is next to where down there...) generally, if your car is standard, then you shouldn't have any worries about reliability. Hope some of my insane ramblings are of some help to you mate?

Yeah, I'm not saying anything about that to be honest seeing that I am not going myself...

Amen. That said though, I never saw this the first time round, so thanks for bringing it back Wilky...

To be fair, you couldn't be any more vague... perhaps if you actually said what it was that you wanted to know, or at the very least gave us a clue, one of us might be able to help you...

I have the Prodrive 330mm conversion on my car, and I love them. but they are seriously not cheap if you buy them new... but I think they are not that bad second hand...?

Looking good so far folks, 7 of you signed up, and still waiting for the last 8 to get in touch! If you don't come forward I can't sort your membership!

Yeah, send it to me too if you want... though is it rigs or offshore general that you are after, because I'm on a Dive Support Vessel at the moment... I have to say though, I am pretty curious that you have come onto a Subaru forum straight off the bat asking for offshore workers email addresses? Was this your only reason for joining up, or do you actually have a scooby/interest?
-
Glad to hear it Davie!
-
They should both be sorted now. Derek you have a Goat coming your way...
