  1. To be honest Kenny, sounds like you let it run on a lot longer than was really reasonable, you didn't have to cover his deposit, and to be honest, I wouldn't have. I don't know who it is, but really they should know better.
  2. Possible that, I can see where the alarm bells are ringing, but that could have been innocent I guess... Either way, I would also offer to have a look, but I think that I'm not going to be around for more than a few days before heading back offshore... Do you actually have a link to the auction so I can take a look? Dale.
  3. And now the problems begin... Top guy for sorting this out mate.
  4. Was a great day, shame about the rain on the drive home, my neighbours arrived in Alford just as we were leaving and were telling me last night that there was flooding in Alford shortly after we left...
  5. OK, so I see Monday Morning, but I've not been on the forum for a few weeks... Am I too late, or have I just sneaked in last minute? 6. I don't think that you have had a lucky escape Graeme, but I do think that it could have been a lot worse, as before, the situation is a lot of bollocks, and I'm sorry to hear that you have been struck yet again from the same dickhead... Still, at least it's on the mend and in good hands finally!
  7. perhaps they have plans for it already and they haven't sorted it out yet? Even then it would be a bit crap if they were to unveil an unfinished stand...
  8. Looks a real cracker Paul, Can't wait to see it in person eventually...
  9. Glad to hear that you have decided to keep it, although I know exactly what you mean about not being able to afford to go to stuff, or even just other things getting in the way of you being able to use it, as You said, it owes you nothing, and lets be fair about this, how much would you have gotten for it these days, even with yours being a minter and all... Thing is too, it'll make no sense in buying a fozzy or a wagon, because lets face it, neither of those cars will give you as much fun, and you will still spend just as much on running them, admittedly, if you were looking to ditch a car that would be cheaper, but I'm surprised that you got shot of the other C1...
  10. Ah, spot on Brian, ill bear that in mind. Ta! I do think its ridiculous that they have moved the franchise out of town like that though...
  11. Just a quickie, as I've just found out myself, it would appear that you can no longer get parts from Town and County any more, I've just got off the phone from them, as I was trying to order gaskets for my exhaust, and the guy was telling me that they are not allowed to order from Subaru any more. So the alternatives now are Lawrence of Kemnay out at Inverurie, or you might be able to order from John R Weirs, though I've not phoned them, so I don't know of this is the case or not... I also asked at Lawrence of Kemnay about the SIDC discount, and it appears that they don't do it at the moment, as they are still waiting to be approved by Subaru, which he says should happen possibly in July. I imagine this is when the discount will start...? Anyway, just thought that I give anyone who's interested the heads up.
  12. Haha! Yeah good call! You never know, my only concern is that you don't see that many bug eyes on the go these days, but I hope that we can find someone to help out.
  13. Just in case you miss it in the General section.
  14. Hi Folks, actually, it's not quite that Glamorous, but it is fairly important. The BBC's Crimewatch show has been in touch with us this morning, they are looking to do a reconstruction of an armed robbery that happened recently involving an Impreza as the getaway car. As such they are appealing for any members, preferably as close to the Hinckley area near Leicester as possible. The Car that they are hoping to find is a 2001 silver 4 door Impreza WRX saloon, with gold alloys. They are looking to do the reconstruction next Wednesday (18th May) and would need the car for approximately half a day. If you are able to help, or if you know someone who can, then you please get in touch, and you could hopefully help to catch the bad guys! The contact if you wish to email direct, is Charlotte Loving, and her Email is: charlotte.loving@bbc.co.uk Failing that if you have any other questions then I can ask for you. Cheers, Dale.
  15. Gawjus mate! Always liked these, though I prefer the Exige to be honest! I could just never justify the money for one, because these things are just sooo expensive to buy!
  16. Though, now that we know, I must demand that you post pics here Scott!!!!!!! Get em up!
  17. Christ Dunk, you've not had much Luck with it, but dude, you have spent so much, it has to end sooner or later, and by that I mean the unreliably!!!! Would be a shame to cut it up now...
  18. Hello, em... Meat? Yeah... Welcome to the club chap, I can't offer any advice as to which garage is best, but I can assure you, that there will probably be a bunch of people queuing up to give you their specially selected opinions on both those garages... What I can tell you though, is that every garage have a schedule from which to work, Forged by the Subaru gods themselves. And that tells them that at so many miles, these parts need changed. In fact, it should tell you in the documentation that you got with the car, the hand book etc, there should be a book with the service schedule, telling you exactly what parts need replaced or checked. I'm pretty certain that 30k is not a massive service, the big one if I recoil, is the 80,000? in which the cam belt needs changed, but your a while away from that yet I think... Being down in that part of the world, you have plenty of garages to choose from anyway, including a few that are not Subaru Garages, but have a very good reputation within the community, someone can tell you who is the closest to you, (I still can't remember who is next to where down there...) generally, if your car is standard, then you shouldn't have any worries about reliability. Hope some of my insane ramblings are of some help to you mate?
  19. Yeah, I'm not saying anything about that to be honest seeing that I am not going myself...
  20. Amen. That said though, I never saw this the first time round, so thanks for bringing it back Wilky...
  21. To be fair, you couldn't be any more vague... perhaps if you actually said what it was that you wanted to know, or at the very least gave us a clue, one of us might be able to help you...
  22. I have the Prodrive 330mm conversion on my car, and I love them. but they are seriously not cheap if you buy them new... but I think they are not that bad second hand...?
  23. What's up with the car now Dunk?
  24. Scots got a Scoob now??? Happy days!
