  1. Thats a shame Cal, I dont know what I'd do, but what was the guy buying it saying? take it he suddenly lost interest after it happened?
  2. though one question now that she's able to move the car, is how old is it? because from later 2001 I think onwards, so newages basically, shouldn't be so badly affected because they run on the different frequency...
  3. Possibly, I cant remember, but I think that if you leave the battery out for too long it can lose the code.... Might be worth taking a look at the Sigma Sam thread... http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=96215 Theres lots of good info there about reprogramming keyfobs and the likes... Hope that Helps.
  4. Mate, its probably a mast or somthing... If you know the code for the alarm, then open the door with the key, this will set the alarm off, then punch in the code in the little keypad (Either in the glove box, or the little cubby down to the right of the steeringwheel) But dont put it in too quick, as you only have a couple of attempts and then you have to wait 30 minutes to try again!
  5. its not that he never tried to straighten up, but that the keys were clearly not in the ignition... that was the steering lock...
  6. Good Effort boys and girls!

  12. Good Effort!
  13. Top jobby! Looked like a good day, despite the crappy weather, well done to all involved!
  14. What year of motor mate, because there is a known problem with the suspension struts on most of the newage models... and that causes a clunk through the rear suspension... Most likely to be the same thing...?
  15. As per your previous post... it does appear to be the point that your making...
  16. Well I know that coming back from some of these places, its nice to have a beer, but no one ever bought me a beer when i came back from theatre... *******s. I'd be game for this though... Probably all ends up behind 216's Bar though....
  17. Ha! I was being Gentle that night too! Only had one 'moment' on the way to perth, when someone's wheelie bin was on its side across the middle of the road... could have been nasty that one... Who needs stingers... perhaps the police should just buy wheelie bins! Dito! there really was something satisfying about it... Dont get me wrong, I like to go fast, but theres a time and a place, and past a police road block is not one of those times...

  20. Sad, but true...
  21. And Again, agreeing with John there, Global warming is a bad joke, but you know what, I'm all for renewable energy, but not because it reduces carbon footprint - Because it doesn't - the emissions required to manufacture, install and maintain nearly cancels out the good they do. But we do need to find ways of producing more energy as the population grows, and there's a gadget for everything, we need to power it somehow... I'm all for recycling, but not because it reduces carbon footprint - Because it doesn't - the emissions required to recycle is not small. But is does save mining for more material, and gives us another industry for supporting the workforce. You say that about the waves lapping at your door, but very often, people choose to move to areas where there will be flooding, often the water is kept back with man-made defences, and when they fail, they blame global warming. Some People say that the tsunamis are caused by Global warming, Em, no, they were caused by Earthquakes, that had nothing to do with global warming. that big storm that you just pointed to, well, what, you think that we did that? are you mental? to be honest, we need to spend less time crying about GW, and more time adapting how we deal with the problems that the earth that we live on presents, its all about engineering the future, adapt and overcome, just dont tax us with fear of drowning, when its not true.
  22. Yeeeesssss!!!!! Ban Christmas!!!!! Its gotten very overly commertial now anyway, its not about joy and goodwill anymore anyway, only money...
  23. Chist, I know that the Beeb are biased over the matter, but it would have been nice to actually let the other side speak... you could see the american guy was trying to put his point accross, was clearly getting interupted every 2 seconds, and then when he tried to finish what he was saying, he was being told let the other guy (Who spoke at length) speak... And the thing that really got me there, is that they he said that people couldn't attack the science, even though thats what's being attacked, and that he said that he cant speak for the IPCC yet he said definitly, that under no circumstances did they do anything wrong, and the science is sound, so em, he IS speaking for them...? Absolutly agree with you there John!
  24. Driving home last night, from Glasgow, and then Crieff, at like half 1 in the morning, and I saw the blue flashy lights ahead, (no, not for me - You'll never take me alive copper!) and I'm not sure what was going on, perhaps some sort of accident or vehicle checkpoint, between Perth and Scumdee... either way, the cop car was blocking the right hand lane, and as you do, I slowed down to about 40-50 to pass safely which was fine as there was nothing behind me... well, there wasn't, but far enough back there was a complete tosser in a small van, like a corsa van, who I'm sure was trying to jam between me and the central reservation, and I was overtaking a truck at the time... I honked me horn shouted some obseneties and though that was the last of it... Untill a few minutes, and a few miles later, I see Blue lights in the rear view... They zipped past me, and off into the distance, and yeah, looked like the same car that was blocking the lane just back the way... Caught them up a "few" miles later, in a layby, just before Scumdee, having a "chat" with the tosser in the small white van that tried to force me out of the way earlier... I'll bet he thought that he was getting away with that one... I really do hope that they charged him with something interesting... Dangerous driving or something... t**t!
