  1. All set in their ways Started with a Classic car, threw a million bucks at, got it doing what they want so why clear the slate and start all over again just cause the body-style changed? Unlike the WRC - these people do not promote the sale of cars but they do promote the sale of performance parts and tuning services that work across the range. I'm sure for every tuner/reseller you could mention who run classic cars, you'd be able to find another who run Newage cars - even AndyF has one of those that he takes on the track etc. What about the US Subaru Rally team, do they promote the sale of new cars? I don't think so (could be wrong) yet they chose to run Newage cars. Then there is Duncan at Hypertech, what's he got? The Newer Age, so there?! Going back to the WRC, Peter still makes a valid point. Of course they can't run different cars, but the fact is they CHANGED the Classic style in the first place to the Newage, I think we forgot about that. I think someone made the point that it doesn't really matter whether we drive Classic or Newages, and that's right - it's all about preference. I can only say I prefer a Newage becasue I never driven a Classic, but then again - what is a Classic and a Newage?? Colin can't really say he drives a Classic, neither can AndyF becasue both of these cars are a million miles away from what they were originally - and with my limited understanding I think I'm right in saying: you can do that with a Newage too. Man I get really annoyed at how long-winded I can be sometimes - I have no life!
  2. You're on a stage all your own mate!
  3. I see, so it appears to be mod-related with a range of power-output related to the mods. Going by the AndyF stages, I have everything in Stage 2 minus the full decat, but I do have the STi V8 TMIC from Stage 3. So that's that then. Cheeeeers!!!!!
  4. Ok, while reading the forums, I read a lot about people doing engine mods in stages... Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 ... The question I have is this: are each of these stages definitive i.e. do they have a set of specific mods associated with each stage or is the term "stage" just with the users own targets in mind? If the answer is the former, then what is used to define stages? Is it mods or levels of power or some other criteria? Thanks! J
  5. Brill - sticks to the road like glue!
  6. Nice. When you take pictures outside, make sure the sun is at your back.
  7. Need to crouch down And its NOT pink, it's STi Pink, there is a difference you know!!!!
  8. Looking good and looking better. A pic of the whole car would be nice, that way the wheels can be seen in context.
  9. Nice one mate, glad your brakes still work ok after I ran over them. Good luck with the map and happy birthday!
  10. Oh yeah, right... of course, I'm sure you are... NOT!
  11. They are not that bad, really. By all means though, if you can stretch your budget, then that is always the best course of action. BTW, what is going down with your gear box?
  12. Your welcome to come and clean if for me you know?
  13. Ach, it wasn't that bad.
  14. Some belters but some utterly chavtastic wrecks as well! I agree with the comment about the sound track - brain damage!
  15. I wish... mines are all gone now and I can't get anyone to fit more at shortish notice...
  16. Its funny how they use all those clips of the OLD car to advertise the NEW car. I guess since the new one looks SOOOO bland, they cleverly made that advert to create association, so if you buy the new one, its just the same as the old one - honest... Since my wee jaunt in the new one yesterday, I can't really fault it for performance and such like; it's the look of the thing...
  17. Yeah and get the price down to £3,200! Still well out of range for me at present
  18. Cheers mate! Can I say first of its kind in Scotland then?
  19. Nice one ma man - Striking a blow against the Classics - Good to hear about the spoiler, suspension and wheels, that will make it look jsut mmmm! Enjoy!
  20. No, was advised against it. To fit the front one too would make the car very stiff, so in the wet or on our crappy bumby roads, the car would slide around or skip on the bumps. Therefore, leaving some flexibility in the front means the car can grip better. If it was a dedicated track car, then there would be no question of fitting both. Not seen you around in a while, were have you been hiding?
