  1. Does he have one and does anyone know what it is? Cheers J
  2. An accurate assessment.
  3. Great pics. What is that guy in Neil's pic doing under the car with just a jack holding it up!? Unless its some sort of special locking jack and I'm talking out my ignorant a55.
  4. Same here man, that is unbelievable!!!! The thought of them in your house while you are still there, doesn't bear thinking about. Hope you get your car back and this scum get what they deserve. All the best mate. John
  5. A wee clip someone caught of me at the hairpin. Nothing too exciting...
  6. Sorry about that mate. Due to the red flag so late in the session, I ended up staying out for the last 35 mins. Just did some cooling down laps on track. Next time. J
  7. Nice pics mate, didn't see you at KH today, where you there?
  8. Maybe with a bit of luck this scum will die in their sleep. Hope you make a full recovery mate and get behind the wheel of a new Impreza soon, Take care, J
  9. Has anyone who is taking their cars on track tomorrow at KH heard anything from JohnS? You know, the usual forms, warmup groups and stuff? It's usally never this late, is it? [*-)] Forget it, the stuff came 5 minutes after my panic post, a55!
  10. Yeah I know, I just thought it was down to the new pads been fitted and that it would go away by itself, silly me. I have another couple of weeks off of work, so I'll do it next week.
  11. Cheers Colin. I'm going to Knockers tomorrow, so I will have the car jacked up to put on the track wheels anyway. The noise is only apparent when slowing right down, not at any other time. The last time out an KH, I heard the sound around the 3rd corner, then it never came back again, even afterI came off of the track. It is only recenly it has started again. I'm still under warranty, so I'm not too bothered, just as long as it doesn't come flying off on the track!
  12. Put the new kelly cd in traitor [:$]
  13. Cheers Stevie, I'll have a look
  14. Hi folks, getting some weird sounds coming from what seems to be the back of the car at low speeds. When I reduce speed to a crawl while approaching traffic lights etc., i get a loud WOOOO or humming sound coming from the rear. This has been going on for about 8 weeks and started very shortly after I had DS2500 fitted front rear. I took the car to KH at the last SIDC track day and after that the sound stopped for a while but has recently started up again and appears to be louder. Any ideas how I can resolve this? Thanks! J
  15. I have shafted every set of pads I ever owned in less than a year. Three sets including 2 Subaru sets and a set of DS2500 Ferodos (aslo a set of discs). That's what driving on the track does for you though! Right now, they are squealing, grinding and I am getting a loud WOOOO sound at low speeds that seems to be coming from the rear... others have said that these symptoms indicate "binding" what ever that is!
  16. Ah, what a beautiful country we live in. Was up Oban way a few days ago and planning to go back up that way again and visit some of the islands. Cool pics.
  17. Waste of time and money. A laser detector is useless, as by the time the device warns you, they've already caught you... This is true, the laser detector simply says, "you're caught". However, if a driver is warned by the device while doing the limit (or in the grey area), at least he knows not to go over it.
  18. I think it was a cop van for sure as it had the blue and yellow checked markings. The cop, however was dressed in black and wasn't wearing a white cap (or any cap) nor was he wearing a high-viz jacket.
  19. Think I may have got done by a scamera van. Was coming down from Oban stuck behind a 206 and a truck for miles and miles. On the first straight, the 206 pulled out to pass the truck, I followed suit. When the 206 cleared the truck, I stayed out and passed the 206. I then spotted the van in the layby on the opposite side of the road facing me (maybe 100 yards or more). The officer was standing at the near-side-front of the van pointing his camera up the road. I am in no doubt that I was over the limit momintarily while executing the overtaking manouver, however, getting caught I suppose depends on the following: What direction do the camera's work in: on-coming or passing traffic on the same side or bi-directional? What range do the cameras operate at? I had my Road Angel on and there was no "Laser Alert", I'm hoping I wasn't in focus at the time or is it that these guns are different from traffic-cops ones? Any info mucho appreciated!
  20. Nice one, good news... look after it.
  21. For pity's sake man, disgraceful. Hope it gets restored soon, scum man,
