  1. You could go for the fast-road settings which are not quite as severe as the Prodrive settings. Also, try and keep and eye on it and rotate the tyres once in a while to get a little bit out of them.
  2. Just got the car back from Dunc at Hypertech. Had the block honed out and new forged pistons dropped in. A few other goodies as well just to strengthen things up, like replacement shells, an uprated oil-pump to mention the main ones. Few other bits and bobs, but can't mind what they are. I have to keep it below 3k for the first 500 miles, then progressively load it upto 1000 miles. Somewhere in there I need to get it mapped for the VF34 and Sports-cat Downpipe as I set it back to standard. Just waiting on AndyF getting back to me for that one. Been a while since I have experinced the thrills of the Impreza and I cannot wait to let it rip again!
  3. Aye, he's no a bad lad!
  4. He's always answered my calls
  5. Thanks folks!
  6. Hi Folks When I get my car back (going in to week 5), I will have a TD04 spare. Someone I know wants to buy it for his Civic to do a turbo conversion and asked me how much I wanted for it. I have no clue how he is going to do this and I have no interest either. All I want to know is how much should I take for it? Cheers, J
  7. Id go for Teins, you get a nice little set of stickers with them, plus they lower the car more giving it a more aggressive stance. They also provide good handling and are, as you said, progressive.
  8. Very unusual looking and I like it a lot. I also agree with every thing Mr Sounds says here as well, that will really make it stand out. Nice choice, hope you enjoy it.
  9. Pops and bangs? I never got that with my 2.5 - I just got the bangs Nice result mate, enjoy it! J
  10. Nice wee review indeed. enjoyed it.
  11. man that is hideous!
  12. Was it doing ok? I miss it!
  13. Hahaha! Yeah, well it is a stunning car, but it was too much of a jump financially. However, when my car is back from the hospital, it will be well sorted! Won't be a GB270 in the land that will touch it! Ha!
  14. Excellent man, looks great.
  15. He's talking cak! An aftermarket back box will bring it back.
  16. Too
  17. Your car looks excellent mate, you're being a little hard o.n. (sake can't belive the swear filter wont let me say that!)yourself. Still like the idea of the "lids" though!
  18. I'd say yes. I see a silver Bugeye once in a while going through Castlemilk on its way to EK. It has been de-spoliered with the little lip spoiler in its place, it also has the eyelids and a nice exhaust note. The car overall looks very unique and one of the best looking Bugeyes I have ever seen. On that basis, I'd say yes.
  19. "A king of the road becomes a shadow of its former self" a very poignant quote.
  20. I'll have it mate if you can find out if it defo fits an MY06 Hawkeye WRX. I'll give you £200 for it too.
  21. yeah I thought that, as I noticed some "non members" posting in there. I was going to post up and ask, in case it was one who slipped through the net. Good news though... or bad cause it might well lead to more spending!
  22. Nice one!
  23. I wouldn't make a habit of doing quarter miles, but yes, I will venture down at some point (early next year I guess) and post a time; just to see what it can do!
  24. Ditto
  25. Yeah agree with that. I can't imagine levels of boredom that would make me clean my own car to that extent, let alone the other half's! Look fab right enough, and a nice looking car.
