  1. Fantastic mate. Either the Cops reccomended a warning letter be issued, or there was not enough of a case to answer. Either way, good bit of news bud
  2. Welcome mate, enjoy your stay[]
  3. Ninja 1 does not come with a baffle so wont be interchangeable. It is basically a re-designed exhaust, not really similar in looks or sound to the first Ninja, I think the 2 looks and sounds a lot better, although the ninja 1 is still a great exhaust aswell!
  4. I just fitted the Ninja 2 on my MY99....WOW! Not only does it look much better, it's got a really nice deep burble, with a fantastic howl when you floor it, and I managed to get it for £175, total bargain!
  5. Welcome to the madhouse folks []
  6. I touch goats!!!!!
  7. Of the new Ninja 2 from Scoobyworld.......will let you all know what it sounds like when I get it fitted, can't wait, it looks fantastic!!!!
  8. Ever since I saw (and heard!!) my first Scoob I knew I wanted one, had to have one! Got my licence at 18, got an insurance quote of £6500......decided the Scoob might need to wait a few years[] Ever since I got her though, have loved every minute, just turning the key and hearing the boxer fire up and that flat four rumble brings a smile to my face....and then when you floor it and the turbo kicks in, awsome!!!! I am totally addicted, can't EVER see me buying anything else......it's deffo gonna be a P1 next! They might be a money pit, but what a bloody way to spend your money!!!
  9. Del that's crap p**h mate really sorry to hear this. Did she get any of the reg number at all? Any CCTV cameras in your area that might have caught anything?
  10. About average for me is 290 from a tank, but it's mostly motorway, and after what happened to my engine in April I don't really kick the t*ts out of mine anymore!
  11. The sticker in the inside of the fuel cap in UK spec cars states use only super unleaded, however this sticker goes in the fuel caps of other countries stating this aswell, and it states the octane rating of 95 (which is the RON of UK fuel) the sticker is more for countries with a lower RON of standard fuel, and is letting people know to use the higher RON fuel. My car has never been run on anything other than Optimax and now V-Power, it is far better for the engine, and MPG is much higher too
  12. You don't get any paper work handed to you, only time you get paperwork is if you were being given a fixed penalty ticket, otherwise it's a straight report to the PF, and the PF then decides what to do after that mate.
  13. A do miss her a have to admit, but a needed an everyday car, that was too good to use everyday, not many S2's like that left, didn't want to ruin her. Sold it to an older guy who wanted it as a summer show car, which a was delighted with, she is now kept in a heated garage, fantastic! You will get get there mate, like a say don't jump into the first one you come across, there are plenty of sheds out there that have been smoked by all the ned's under the sun. Wait for a nice clean well running example with plenty of Subaru history and you will be laughing!
  14. You might like my old one mate, one of the cleanest around, with only 36k GENUINE miles on the clock, every old MOT, TAX disc, FFSH, and original bill of sale.....Gutted a sold it [] Ahhh, the memories!
  15. Welcome mate! When buying your first Scoob, as has already been said go for a UK model, and try to get one as close to standard as possible, most will have after market exhausts, but make sure they have the original Airbox induction systems (due to mine running lean because of an after market induction kit I had to rebuild the engine 33 days after buying it). Full service history is a must, as is an HPI check. Do not rush into buying the first one you see, there are loads of Scoobs out there to be had, be patient and wait for one that ticks all the boxes i.e UK Model, Standard, FSH, HPI Clear, No smoke from engine/exhaust and no knocking from the engine (Dreaded piston slap means re-build is on the cards very soon) Good luck mate, you will not regret it!
  16. Agree to a certain extent, it comes down to how the Sheriff feels about the evidence presented to him during any trial. There are definitions to both Dangerous and Careless driving, and if the Sheriff feels the evidence laid out to him falls within the definition of Dangerous driving, then he will find it proven. As st3ph3n says, just wait till the letter comes. Either way you will get some kind of corespondance in the near future, either a warning letter from the PF (fingers crossed) or an indictment.
  17. Pleading not guilty is sometimes worse than holding your hands up to it. If he pleads guilty through a letter, or a lawyer does so on his behalf at court, then it means no trial, and eliminates the chances of a Sheriff / JP listening to the evidence by the two cops, and deciding to come down on Welsho like a ton of bricks. Best thing to do Welsho is speak to a lawyer bud, and to be honest I wouldn't post too much more about it on this thread. Best of luck with it though matey! Seevers, I have only just managed to stop laughing at those videos, Barry "Bellend" Scott and Michael Winner as you have never seen them before!
  18. Again though dtabbit77, it just depends on the circumstances, the courts may have accepted his not guilty plea as there may not have been enough of a case to prove the charge, but not knowing the full circumstances in this case it's hard to say. End of the day the fact there is no video evidence does not matter, there are two Police officers speaking to a set of circumstances, manner of driving etc, so it is no different than say two Police officers speaking to someone assaulting someone else, video evidence is hardly ever used in cases of Dangerous/Careless driving, unless it's a Traffic car that has stopped you and is fitted with video equipment. It's just down to whether the Sherrif / JP believes the Cops or the driver.
  19. Michael Winner has a lot to answer for, a wud love to knock him out
