  2. i have emailed the above company asking about a group buy and will keep everyone posted as to the outcome.
  3. Peter, I would be interested in this if there is a group buy. ]" src="/emoticons/emotion-5.gif">
  4. This will bring the temp of the coolant down by a fair bit and in turn reduces the temp of the oil when up at operating temp. Some advice given to me from one of the professors on here. chris
  5. Count me in for a couple as well. When can i pick them up? chris
  6. thanks for that Peter. some nice reading there.
  7. Peter, What are the advantages of fitting the oil catch can? Why is it needed?
  8. Why does everyone take these threads so seriously. To stop all the arguing can someone post a thread and name it "The Chinese 400 Experience" and pin it. People who have had a drive in Peter's car can post their comments here and if you don't want to read what people say then don't open it up. I have got to take my hat off to the likes of Peter and DRB5 and The Welsho to name but a few as these guys (apologies for not naming guys from outside the Glasgow region as i am fairly new to the club and have not had the pleasure of meeting up with a lot of members yet) as these guys are willing to let people experience the different ways scoobs can be modified. To hand over the keys to your pride and joy takes a lot and it is not everyone that is willing to do it. What a lot of people forget is that when modifying a car no two cars are the same. There are a lot of amazing scoobs in the club and hopefully as i get to more and more meets i will be able to get to ride shotgun in some more cars and i will post up my thoughts after them. I am on a quest to improve the performance of my car but tbh i ain't aiming for a figure of bhp. I have a list of parts i am going to fit and once fitted if i don't put it on a rolling road to get a bhp figure i am not going ot lose sleep over it. All i am interested in is getting the car feeling the way i want it. I am heading up to Keith today so if there is anyone in the area with a scoob then pm me and we could meet up. It would be good to get to know people further away than Glasgow. chris
  9. John, Is this you trying to justify those AP 6 pots for the next rack day? chris
  10. from what i remember geo you are the man to see about whiteline stuff so people will soon get to know you as the stuff is rated highly on here.
  11. One good way of letting people know your a member of the SIDC is to buy some of the clothes that IMY organises. These have the SIDC scottish scoobies logo and also you can have your forum name or real name or both on them. chris
  12. Geo, FAI17 (aka Peter) holds the other SIDC meeting place on a Saturday night in Paisley. A lot of members meet there for dinner. Each section holds a monthly meet. The glasgow one is the first thursday of the month. These are good places to meet folk and get to know everyone.. Look in the events section for the meet near you. Chris
  13. Some nice figures there. congratulations.
  14. sounds like a good set up you have there. I too am aiming for an 18g next year. would be interested to see how your cars feels. chris
  15. mpg wont be a problem John. the removal of the third cat is a definite good mod. Turbo spools up wee bit quicker.
  16. I personally experienced this machine last night and was amazed at how smooth it is. I have now sat in a classic and a newage both of which are over 400bhp and they are both totally different experiences. Both cars are amazing and my hat goes off to both owners as they have spent a lot of time getting their machines to such a high standard. I hope when i get my project finished next year it will be as good as these fine specimens (but with a few less ponies under the hood). chris
  17. I can get one from the website you mentioned for £185 delivered. Just need to get gather the pennies for it now. Thanks I would have prefered to try get a second hand one and get it painted to try save some cash but as usual i have no luck. cheers Chris
