gus the bus
Phenomenal! That is pure engineering and a work of art. Loved the shot with the Audi and the other with the Mk1 AVO. Top find Davie[Y] Link to comment
uRaBu5
Hardly an original piece on it! Fantastic workmanship allround! Only in the Middle East could someone afford to do this. Some fantastic cars in the background also, obviously someone has a very impressive car collection!! Wish it was mine!! Derek Link to comment
big den
[] Forgot how good those earlier Celicas looked in full rally livery. I can remember watching these in action on the 1986 Scottish Rally. In pic 311 where it seems to be in it's display position that looks to be a Lancia Integrale in Martini Livery next ot it. I'd have a replica Rothmans MK2 Escort if the funds were available and/or an Opel Manta 400!! [H] Den Link to comment
col666
Where did they find it?! in the bottom of a river! Hats off to the workshop but i think i would have scrapped it! Link to comment
chris_c201
Now that is a rebuild!! Superb! Link to comment
thewelsho
Now that is a rebuild!! Superb! It is superb, but I'd hardly call it a rebuild, more like just a build! Must have cost an absolute fortune and the time investment must have been huge! If I had that kind of money, I'd buy something modern and have in my drive way in a week. No questioning the skill, the look, the workmanship and all that, I'd just question the point. Great find though, I'd be happy if I could change my brake pads never mind all that! Link to comment
dipsy
There somthing's i did not like with the rebuild .They could of buffed the weld's so you could not see them ie inside the car ie when its painted the welds look worse .They could of put a new transmission tunnel in there was to many metal patches which look horrible on the transmission tunnel and i would say the car is for show ie don't think they could rally it again there are to many weld joins in the floor so a lot of weak areas thats my opinion of this .
