  1. I'm just bored with it I think, and I'm doing too many motorway miles for a loud exhaust. I've got nothing exciting in mind, maybe an A4? Maybe just a new engine in my Mk 1 golf and relive my boyhood.
  2. I'm sorry chaps, but she has to go. Donkeys corner shop has got one last, blow out sale. Hope you are all well 24D Bye Bye
  3. In my experience, it's best to just avoid Swindon totally
  4. What's on there at the moment? I try to ignore reviews as a general rule, as a lot depends on your driving style, and the pressures you run. I've run the standard bridgestones, Pzero Rosso's and Nero, BF Goodrich profilers, and now have a couple of Toyo T1R on the back at the moment. Bridgestones were too soft, Rosso's were OK, Neros better (on the road), BF Goodrich were really good and the T1R seem to be pretty good as well. You pays your money....................... On a sidenote, the "Courier Driver" tyres on my Mk 1 Golf are hilarious in the wet. 60 BHP has never been so much fun!!!
  5. Well done Jaz, sounds like I missed a good one. This Tiffy course lark is bollox. Shame the range control Nazi's put a stop to the rally rides. Catch you round pal
  6. Have yourself a Baskin and Robbins for me. Can't say I liked KAF much (too many septics), but at least you won't get bored. I was speaking to some of the KBR boys at BSN, and they had it easy. They just dropped the jingleys off to do the work in the morning, and picked them up later. All for loads of money!! Keep safe and buy an Aston Martin when you get back with your tax free earnings.
  7. Wotcha. Glad to hear you care!!! Don't tell Ed, he'll be jealous. I've been a busy bunny lately. I've just bought a house in Devon, moved to Reading with work, Started the final year of a Degree and bought this little beauty The Scoob is parked up until I get bored of 60 throbbing horse power. I'm still waiting for a turbo from Flat 4 to bang on it, but it's looking more and more like i'll have to start small claims procedures to get my money back. I'll see you around sometime no doubt, I pop into Swindon to see a chick every now and again.
  8. Brilliant. Acting like Knobs is what being a bloke is all about
  9. I ordered some discs and brake shoes, and payed direct into his account. When they hadn't turned up within a fortnight I rang him direct to see what was happening. I had to forward the original e-mail with the order, for him to track it, and it turned out he had missed the order. I then got the discs about 3 days later. I had NO problems with unanswered e-mails and managed to speak to him on the phone every time I tried. I guess he's just a busy bloke, that could do with a secretary.
  10. Cheers peeps. I'm past the big 3 0 now so it has taken me 2 days to work this new fangled computer-bob. Off for an ovaltine before bed
  11. I could always help out in the lack of BF department. I'll even guide you when you attempt to parallel park
  12. Alright bud, good to hear you are still in one piece. I bugged out before it started getting too hot! On the ECU side, it all depends what else you are going to do to it. "Normal" tuning can be done with the standard ECU, with maybe the addition of a boost controller (Apexi, HKS etc) but for more interesting stuff, a standalone ecu like a simtek or a hydra (tracktive solutions) can be programmed to do all sorts like antilag and launch control. £600 is a bit cheap though. Splash the cash, you are saving enough at the minute!
  13. As above really. I can't think of the exact Subaru setup, but the neg from the battery will be attached to the chassis, and there will be a neg from the engine block to the chassis. If this is missing, the starter can't earth through the block. In an extreme situation, you may get arcing between the block and chassis. I've seen braided fuel lines get mega hot when cranking and spark up! You could always try running a spare bit of earth braid from a inlet manifold bolt, straight to the batt neg.
  14. The best sound system money can buy, is a full de-cat on max chat.
  15. It's a secret. But needless to say, I will have some more bits to sell.
  16. Very nice. You could have cleaned it first though
  17. The best of the best. Sorry Dave, That IED was me. I can't have you beating me when you get back can I!!! There are plans ahead for the missile when I get back from the 'Stan. I just hope the pistons can take it!
  18. I would have loved to have made it. The Taliban meets are no where near as good.
  19. I fitted some from the Scoobynet GB, and I have no issues with dazzling other drivers that I know of. (I may have been going too fast for them to flash me before they crashed!) They were easy to fit, although the colour coding on the wires was wrong for my 05 Blob.
  20. B Day greetings from the ar$e end of the world pal. (No......Not Tidworth
  21. I didn't realise we had our own Tidders thread. Me, Jaz, and Aston all came from Germany at about the same time!
  22. Darren. Have you got your C or C+E? I know there is money in driving the trucks with the Hysters on the back. Just register with a driving agency and do all the crap routes that no one else will. The more you do, the more they wil call. Failing that, you could always be my bitch!
  23. 'Ello mate. Got any photos of it? I could be tempted, and mine has a green panel filter in Sorry to hear of your woes. Life has a habit of throwing a big s**** sandwich doesn't it.
