Congratulations to all taking part today – makes me very proud to be part of the SIDC. I know it will mean the world to the wee fella! You all deserve a huge pat on the back and can’t wait to see the pics Derek

Saw this coming up in the next Auction thought someone might be interested. Derek

Tickets got snapped up by Spooks, who took his son along. Great night all round from what I’ve heard, especially after he won the top prize – a £1200 bike and even better it was presented to him by Danny himself. Derek

All the best to the 2 of you on your travels. Hope you settle quickly and get into some sort of routine. Keep in touch. Derek

Agree with The Squiggle – Lancia Stratos – my all time favourite car!

Unfortunately, also need a car they can go on – plates to new for RB5.
-
Decided to buy a new number plate, hopefully as a bit of an investment – but would prefer in on a fully stickered up Impreza. What do you think? RC08ULL Just need to insert the screw in the right place and get the wings. Derek

Looking for things to do, places to eat and sights to see. All help welcome, unfortunately not taking the RB5 – not big enough for what the wife and kids want to take. Derek

Other option from Hyundai is the iX35, gets great right ups and also looks similar to the Kuga. My goo lady just got an £11k budget for a car and went for the Kia Ceed, nice car to drive with plenty of room. Good luck with choosing and always check the Top Gear Mag for best prices or the Car Supermarkets. Derek

Happy Birthday John! Hope it’s a good one. Derek

Very sad news indeed! This piece of machinery was way more than just a car – automotive pornography/work of art - think everyone who saw it, fell in love with it (remember DougieC’s face when he first saw it in the flesh, certainly filled the memory card of his camera that day) and would offer various vital organs as part exchange. Hope everyone that was involved in the build of the car are well proud of what they produced and I feel for all of you! Main thing is Callum and Ian, you both walked away! The Fatboy will never be forgotten – way too many pics for that! Feel for you guys, but chins up. Derek

If you are using Angle Park Garage – make sure you get the SIDC 15% discount from Colin!!

Yes was me. Heading home after picking son and mates up from football – they all enjoy the journey home! Derek

Welcome Drew. Get some pics up of the motor! Derek

In Memory Of Dougie C - 1 Year Ago On 6th January

Huge thanks for the kind words and pics (and if you have any more, please post up or email to me derek@jumpmarketing.co.uk it would be much appreciated, you never seem to take enough and it was always Dougie with the camera) from all the family. Been a bit of a nothing year really for all of us, just trying to get back to some sort of routine. My brother and me ended up buying my mum a stunning toy poodle for her Christmas to try and fill part of the void in her life – after nearly 30 years being a 24 7 carer. Pepé is keeping her very busy, but she loves him. My car seams very empty without the big fella beside me but will try and attend as much SIDC events this year as possible. Hope you all had a good Festive period and all the best for 2010. Derek -
Congratulations to the 3 of you and all the best for the future! Hard work but so rewarding. Derek

Looking for any recommendations for my wife who has to come up on Monday evening and just wants somewhere nice. Thanks Derek

Had a fantastic day, first time at Crail and it was a cracker. Good run up with BobbyC and Ross, thanks for the company and the directions, don’t think I would have got there without you. Huge thanks to Chris for organising such a great event – and hope you get WL sorted, felt for you big style. Big pat on the back for Matt, coming up from Wales – that’s mates for you! Great to catch up with so many old and new faces and look forward to the next time. Did miss my trusty old co-pilot on the day – RIP big fella. Derek

Just popped into LIDL this morning and picked up one of these – ONLY £4.99! I was very sceptical at that price, but thought only losing a fiver at most. Bought it, took it home, built in 5 minutes and what a fantastic wee piece of kit, stores my spare set of alloys upright without them touching each other. Comes with Cover, grip depth gauge, pressure gauge and coloured marker for identifying each wheel/tyre. The offer is ending Monday so be quick. Derek

8 And A Bit Years Of Scooby Ownership, 2 Days Left
uRaBu5 replied to 4Hero's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Neil, Been good to have you involved in so much. Always enjoyed your company and your pics have always been fantastic – even the insect ones. I think a lot of people have learnt and got into photography (SICC) through help from yourself. Also have fantastic memories of the Glenshee run – had to help Dougie from the footwell a couple of times, heavy breaking and no feeling in your legs, you just keep going forward. Hope the Volvo is a good compromise, certainly looks the part! And all the best to the family in the future. See you at a track day soon. Derek and Family -
Mark, Surely the reason you left the keys was incase the alarm went off during the night and not cause a disturbance. Derek
