nearly forgot, little update on my car for you all

Well, the rear diff is on the way out, there are some god awful noises coming from the back of the car when off the throttle and after describing the symptoms to Ian at P.A.C.E he is sure the diff is giving up. Luckily Ian has a diff he is willing to let me have for much cheapness.

The exhaust is blowing like hell, but this is a obviously an easy fix to rejoin where it is blowing but finding the time right now is the hard part.

She does not seem to like cold starts now, she cuts out and hunts like mad when cold but once warmed up she is fine.

oh and I think the power steering pump may be on its way out too :redcard:

On the up side I figured out what the new Whitline parts I have waiting to go on the car are

Roll-centre / bump-steer adjust kit

Subframe lock kit

Heavy duty steer rack mounts

Transmission Crossmember Bushes

Support-Lock Bushes Rear-Differential

Thats it for now, unfortunately the old girl is gonna have to wait until I come back from the London Motorcycle show before she gets any loving :P

Although not the splitter I originally wanted, I ended up buying a P1 front lip through a group buy on ScoobyNet, at the price they were being offered for it would have been rude not to buy one

Anyway, it arrived this morning so I fitted it as soon as I got home after work

What do you think?

I also bought some corner mud gaurd pieces through a fella on SN today, have been looking for a set of genuine ones for ages. They will need a little tidying but they were cheap so I had to have them.

Oh and the blowing exhaust is fixed and I am going to wait until after the next rally then see about getting the car into Ian to have the diff done.

Give my congrats to Helen mate, thats great news

so when you buying her a scooby?

Well, she needs to get the plaster cast off her arm and remember how to drive again first. She had an operation on her wrist the day after her test, and has a cast on for three weeks. :boldblue: .

Crikey! Been a while since I updated this thread.

Not much been going on really except things breaking and trying to keep the use of the car to a minimum.

I think I mentioned before that the rear diff was making some awful noises, well it has got about 10 times worse. I think I am lucky the diff has not chewed itself to pieces and that the car is still usable.

The other thing is a broken near side rear shock which is now knocking on every small lump in the road let alone the larger ones.

I have a new rear shock coming from Whitline which should be here by the end of the week and I have a new diff for the car.

The rear diff has come from MadManx's P1, only problem with that though is the ratios are different to my car so I am swapping out the gearbox in the car for the one out the P1. This will obviously driving the bill up somewhat but there are a couple of benifits in the swap. I will have a shorter throw on the gearstick and the ratios from first to fourth are quite a bit shorter than the current gearing in the car meaning it will be even quicker off the mark (as if it needed to be quicker) and I will also have a UK fifth meaning motorway runs are scream free.

I am also having all the goodies I got from Whiteline last October fitted at last and the clutch sent off to AP to have the pucks on the paddles replaced.

The car is booked into Ian @ PACE next wednesday, cant wait to get it back :icon_salut:
