mctwistuk Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Can anyone tell me where i can get a bigger spoiler for my blobeye. I am looking for something to replace the ironing board that i have. I quite like the STI type spoiler but am open to suggestions. I would prefer it came painted as well. cheers
4Hero Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Gus The Bus is the man to speak to, unfortunately he is in the US just now..

mctwistuk Posted September 24, 2006 Author Posted September 24, 2006 does anyone know when gus is back?
mctwistuk Posted September 24, 2006 Author Posted September 24, 2006 can anyone tell me if the bugeye holes for the spoiler on the bootlid are in the same postion as the blobeye ones?
st3ph3n Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 I believe the only hole differences in any of the new age boots are those between STI and WRX. STI has more for the larger spoiler. WRX has 5 holes, 4 mount + 1 for brake light cable.
Fab 1 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Spoilers look superb! Alan and I visited the Falkirk dealership to enquire as to the price of an STI spoiler painted and fitted, the price just under £1000, defo will be looking into the 'Gus' Spoiler! Any other recommendations greatly appreciated. Jen
DR Motosport Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Is the above spoiler the one with the brake light in the top wing rather than the bottom as per the STi ones. David
craigwrx Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Is the above spoiler the one with the brake light in the top wing rather than the bottom as per the STi ones. David Yes it is ... Craig
bigbadboab Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 does anyone know when gus is back? The big man is back at the weekend.
mctwistuk Posted September 28, 2006 Author Posted September 28, 2006 I have now placed an order with Dave at DR Motorsport and can't wait to get my STI7/8 replica spoiler. Thanks to everyone for their help
mctwistuk Posted October 13, 2006 Author Posted October 13, 2006 Spoiler arrived the other day and was perfect. Would recommend DR Motorsport spoilers to anyone. Quality and level of service was outstanding. Thanks also to DRB5 for fitting. Pics will be posted soon.
thewelsho Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 can anyone tell me if the bugeye holes for the spoiler on the bootlid are in the same postion as the blobeye ones? I got the STi spolier fitted to my MY06 by Subaru so that it was attached when I picked it up, cost me a grand! Anyhoo, the guy told me that it fits the same holes.
mctwistuk Posted October 13, 2006 Author Posted October 13, 2006 John, I was going to get one from the stealers but a few folk on here recommended DR Motorsport and also Gus The Bus for replica spoilers. DR Motorsport were doing it for £320 painted and delivered.
mctwistuk Posted October 13, 2006 Author Posted October 13, 2006 Pics of the car lowered and with new rear accessory.
Racing Snake Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Did you have to drill the boot? I want one for my WRX but don't want to pay silly money or have to drill the boot. Do DR Motorsport deliver as I'm not in Scotland very often.
mctwistuk Posted October 13, 2006 Author Posted October 13, 2006 no drilling necessary they fit existing boot holes. Think the company is based in england. Cost me £20 for delivery to scotand
