Cannot find anywhere with optimax in Edinburgh. This is utter shat.

Anyone know of somewhere in edinburgh with this stuff? Does Livingstone have any?

I sent in an email asking what the prob was.....

1st reply was

"Dear Mr xxxxxxxx,

I am writing further to your recent email concerning Shell Optimax.

I can confirm that there were problems with the distibution of Optimax over the Easter period. Deliveries of Optimax have now resumed. I am sorry for any inconvenience cased.

Thank you for your E mail regarding your recent difficulties in obtaining Shell Optimax in your local area.

I was very sorry to hear that there was no Optimax available at the time of your visits.  I fully appreciate that this situation is unacceptable and I  would like to offer my apologies on behalf of Shell UK for the unnecessary inconvenience that has been caused to you.

Shell delivers fuel twenty fours hours a day, seven days a week throughout the UK and every effort is made to ensure that out of stock situations are kept to an absolute minimum.

On this occasion the lack of Optimax in the region was die to unforeseen operational difficulties, which have now been resolved. Deliveries of Optimax  should be back to normal very soon.

I apologise for the dissatisfaction you have been caused and any inconvenience you have been subjected to.  I do hope that this unfortunate incident will not deter you from visiting Shell branded service stations in the future.

The shell garage between Blackford and Auchterarder was out today and so was the shell garage in Perth,

Had to settle for some bp ultimate with a bottle of booster.

Somthing sinister going on.

stoney now has optimax but no diesal fer fecks sake at least me astra  will last more than a week

was told to run mine on optimax by andy f (apexi ecu remapped) heard lots of myths ref runing on normal unleaded with no boost added so i,m stikin to what he said as last owner  ran on normal the added a tank of super ever 4th or 5th fillup

Phoned a few places in Edinburgh today,seems optimax is back on the menu.Dalry has it and the others said they were being restocked between 9-10pm tonight!
