IMHO - At 10.5 - 11k it'll have to be a total minter ..... with very low miles to expect that sort of money !!!

The RB's seem to be changing hands for anything between 8 & 10k.

There are also 2 slightly different versions of the RB5. You have "normal" ones & the WR Sport models.

The WR model's ( which I have ) is a Prodrive enhanced version which comes with an extra glut of power/torque & probably the best spoiler available for the classics !!!

This is an extract from the SIDC FAQ site ......

To celebrate Richard Burns' first year in the Subaru World Rally Team, the RB5 (5 was the number Richard used during the 1999 WRC championship) was launched to critical acclaim by the press. 444 examples of this car were made available to the general public. A "WR Sport" version of the car was available at extra cost, specified at delivery time by the first owner.

Blue Steel metallic paintwork

Fully colour-coded exterior (mirrors, door handles, skirts and driving lamp covers)

Blue 'Alcantara' and suede-effect interior trim, with black 'jersey' surround on seats

Special graphite trim for the centre console

Air conditioning

PIAA front driving light conversion

Prodrive quickshift

Roof-mounted map reading lamps

RB5 side and rear decals (and also on driving light covers)

RB5 embossed carpet mats

RB5 interior-mounted, numbered plaque "Limited Edition" only 444 available

WR Sport Performance Package

Prodrive High wing (similar to the new STi 5 but with the brake light on the wing rather than boot lid)

the other thing that was unique to the rb5 was the fact that it was based on the sti shell therefore had the benefit of a solid rear bulkhead(which normal uk turbos didnt have)

Gav

Lol! That's such a funny thing! [:D]

Show me a pic of it....this solid rear bulkhead.

next time you have a classic uk turbo lying around park them side by side open the boots and....voila....solid rear bulkhead diagonals.....funnily identical to that of an sti4/5 4 door saloon!and totally different to that of a uk standard turbo saloon![;)]

Amazing!!!! My old 93 RA must have been a one off then!!

I'll start taking pictures of every UK turbo i have with this REMOVABLE bar.

As i do bodywork for a living, i'd say a solid rear bulkhead, should be as it's described....solid and welded in, just like the thing at the front of the car, inbetween driver and engine.

Do you actually work on the scoob's then and not JUST sell them, Gav?

product knowledge....its a dangerous thing!

lol

Gav

No, just another common scooby mistake. Just like RA's have alloy wings/tailgate and thinner glass!
