Adam Kindness Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Pete - saw your pads/discs smoking away on track! At first i though something had cought fire as i just cought a glimpse of sparks then the smoke LOL what pads are you using? anyway..... that was me driving infront of you (well... 2 infront.... infront of the silver one..... Black TypeR with FEE plate) on the way home before you turned off North bound on the M90
andrew_lally Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Nice to see im famous at long last.....thats me in the sidc4 video clip chasing the charged civic type-r.....woohoo None of you guys interested in the normal hot hatch sessions???? Done 3 this year without any trouble (apart from my wheel falling off...hahaha)..there just seems to be much more action on these days, also you get the oppertunity to outbrake people!!!! Any takers???? andy(a.k.a baldyadonis)
sti-zlv Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 I would be up for that, presume you find details on the KH site. I hear the Hot Marques are good as well. Matt
Adam Kindness Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 i blew my engine up at a hot hatch day..... I'm not sure how comfortable folk would be racing around with the hot hatch loons LOL With the SIDC days its pretty much like minded - no one wants a bash, no one is 'racing' (much), and the rules are stuck too The hot hatch days i've been on/seen are pretty chaotic. The top/hot marques would seem a better option :0
Gumball Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 think i would stay away from the hot hatch weekend. i went into dont care mode as i spun off yesterday in the STI8, so to think what they feel like as they spin their random hot hatch doesnt bear thinking about.
st3ph3n Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Pete, the advice was great and very much appreciated. It certainly put me on a good footing for the rest of the day. I took it easy, being my first time, and not having any spare bits and pieces with me, although by the end I was a bit more relaxed, and certainly giving it plenty. Coming into the hairpin at a few minutes to 12 when it was raining was interesting though as I'd just put about 10-12 laps on my rubber with just a short break to swap passengers, and the grip was minimal to say the least.
andy Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 Who is it that's got the "555" decals? I passed you on the A90 last night. I was southbound around Forfar as you were heading North. Another blue Scoob passed northbound a couple of minutes later. I figured it was folk heading home from KH.
fraser_drinkwater Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 it was a good day for the banter...... the chips n cheese with the doughnuts were simply awsome!!!!!!!! think im gonna get some light-weight wheels for mashing on the track at some point
